More evidence (if it was needed) of the valuable contribution of Reporting Radiographers AND a huge glimpse of what Radiology could look like in the UK with more investment in staffing!

Utterly bizarre that politicians who have their meals subsidised by the taxpayer say there is no money to feed hungry kids in schools. Over just 3 years, the public have forked out over £17m to subsidise MPs' meals. There's plenty of money; it's just going to the wrong places.
World Radiography Day marks the discovery of x-radiation in 1895, and is used to celebrate Radiographers contribution to modern healthcare and increase awareness of their role. There will be many posts on SoMe (#WRD22); however here are some quick facts I thought I would share:

The Sunday Times tried to answer why Britain lags so many other countries on cancer survival. In brief British people are slower to come forward; GPs act as gatekeepers to hold back demand; because the NHS lacks diagnostic & treatment capacity & staff to cope with said demand:

"Projections showed the need for an extra 450 000 social care posts by 2035. Where will they come from?"
@mancunianmedic laments the lack of a future-proof plan for social care, or even a present-proof one
