2025. Man. What a year it’s been, huh? I think I can say that this year has been, unequivocally, one of, if not the hardest year we’ve struggled through. Supply chains have been incredibly unstable, global events keep shaking things up more, and somehow, through it all... We’ve survived. Because of you. Thank you. It’s two words. Thank you. It’s not enough to express the depths of gratitude I feel, and how lucky, how... well. I can’t think of a word big enough, or powerful to express it all. The year ended in a blink. And Vite has changed more in a single year than it has in many others. You were patient through the painful parts. You helped support us through the excruciating tariff situation. You supported us through the wild, fun videos and campaigns we made. Behind the scenes, we’ve built up so many new systems, found and lost people, re-built our website’s backend, and so many invisible things that took so much out of it. For a better future, sometimes, the present will be more painful. With everything that’s been happening in 2025, we chose it to be the harder year, gritting our teeth to endure through rebuilding so many things so that the future would be brighter. Thank you, again, for sticking with us through all of it. I know we’re not perfect. I’m still trying my hardest, all the time. I still have not been able to disconnect and go on vacation yet in this 9th year of Vite, but I owe it all to you to keep steering the ship until it’s in the right place before I do. We have so much coming up, and so much to look forward to. There are huge projects I’ve been writing, exciting new collaborations, things that have been in the works for years. And as always, we’re still developing, still improving, and still working on new flavors, new improvements to our ramen, our noodles, and everything else we make. But more than anything, I want to be able to talk to you more in 2026. Whether it’s more behind the scenes videos, blog posts, streams, updates, or whatever, I want to commit to talking with everyone more. It feels like with all the building and systems and people management in the backend... We didn’t get to talk with you, or show you what we’re doing, nearly as much as we’ve done in the past. Even email no longer seems as strong in being able to reach people as it used to be. We’ve been seeing an increasing number of people letting us know through other means that they’re not getting our emails even when they want to, whether it’s updates or order statuses or other things. I missed talking to you this year. I want to fix that. Thank you for believing in people trying to do things the right way. Thank you for believing in people who are fighting to make the world a little better, in their own way. Thank you for believing in us. Here's to a brighter 2026. Remember kindness, and believe in the indomitable human spirit. -Tim, Founder Vite.

Here are some tips for those who want to practice face acting: ➡️U motion: Move your head in a "U" Shape so it's never stuck in the same place. This will help your movements look more interesting. ➡️Key points: When practicing with your model, learn to get to a "Key point." This is when you can automatically get to an expression without using toggles. I use surprised and angry expressions a lot, so I know exactly how to move my face to achieve that look, mainly for clips or comedic effect. I practiced enough so I know what it will look like on the model. ➡️Head tilts: If you struggle with face acting, a simple head tilt will go a long way. Overall, the movement and face acting of your model does matter. It can help it look more interesting, but also, it's okay if you can't face acting all the time. Using just key animations when you're gaming will work perfectly. Example: You died in a game, and you go to the key point of surprise. You know, making this face will make your model look shocked, so you will do a dramatic eye open and mouth agape to achieve this, to reflect onto your model. Lastly. The way your model moves is usually 30% rigging artist,20% tracking (webcam/iPhone), and 50% you. Your rigging artist can give you the tools, but only you can make your models' results reflect your emotions. As always, DO YOUR PARAMETERS AND SETTINGS IN VTUBE STUDIO. It will not be perfect to your face and camera settings unless you adjust the model, (This is an old video I did on parameters) youtu.be/d2yKy-hjNYE?si=lCLe… Holy Yapfest.

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Haru Urara passed away on September 9. The legendary racehorse's legacy serves as the inspiration for the character of the same name in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. We share our condolences to all the staff involved in Haru Urara's care.

【📢】 If you've been getting startup crashes in VTS after the last update, installing the latest "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" will fix this. Please install the latest "X64" version from this page: 🔗 learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cp… Starting now, Steam will auto-install it with VTube Studio updates. But if you're crashing right now, please install it manually to fix the issue.

Vei based for thinking about lawyer -always- have a lawyer! Esp if the company discourages it. They should always want you to have sufficient legal counsel! (Is your right!) Even if it means things don’t work out- all parties should be fully informed and happy with the contract
Finished watching the Nyanners stream speaking about her time at VShojo. There are some crazy things in there: -At the time she left, VShojo owed Nyanners the equivalent of a Mercedes S-Class (~$117K I'm bad with cars but someone can confirm in comments). This was a major reason for her departure. -She was swatted during a sponsor stream and had to continue streaming after/ keep smiling on camera after law enforcement came at her door. VShojo never paid her for it. -She still has nightmares about the swatting incident. It left deep emotional scars. -She said she kept telling herself, “at least I’ll be paid.” But she wasn’t. This was back then when she first started and needed the money more. -She would ask for it. They claimed they didn’t have her payment info, but had literally sent her a payment 2 weeks prior. -After leaving VShojo, she made more in a few months than she did in years with them, partly because they hadn’t been paying her properly. -VShojo had an expired business license at the time of her and Vei’s departure, which was one of the key factors that allowed them to exit the company. -She was discouraged from having a lawyer review her contract. When she did, it was used against her: “Wow, she’s so heartless, she’s talking to us through a lawyer.” -After leaving, remaining talents were told they were "troublemakers" or outright lied to. She says she was “painted in an unsavory light.” -Vei was under an NDA that blocked her from talking to the others, isolating her and preventing discussion. -Vei in chat adds: Part of the company’s terms for her exit was announcing her and Silver’s departures at the same time, to avoid panic. She says this was done to make it seem like they were leaving as friends, even though the decision was individual and they hadn’t spoken about it. -Vei in chat: “With how long it took them to pay me back with my lawyer pestering them 24/7 about it, I bet they used other talents’ sponsor money for it. Like getting a loan to pay for a loan.” -Vei in chat adds: they didn’t get paid for sponsors from 2021–2023, and that VShojo fans pushed a false narrative that they were greedy or left because of boyfriends. -Nyanners says her lawyer was audibly horrified during the contract call ;sighing and saying, “some of this is ridiculous.” -On the topic of corporations: Some corpos encourage or even astroturf false narratives to protect their image, she adds. -On the Ironmouse charity funds: “Who steals from charity?(...) To screw over the face of the company like that (...) This is comically evil.” -Mouse always wanted VShojo to succeed, which makes the betrayal even worse. -Panini (ex-staff) gets good praise. Nyanners felt bad some staff thought she disliked her after leaving. -VShojo owes everything to the talents. -She wanted to leave before her contract was up but wasn’t allowed to say anything. -“It sucks we all put our trust in these people. We believed in them.” -She stayed because she believed in the mission, even though there were cracks from the beginning. -Vei was the first to say, “We need a lawyer,” and got a lot of hate for it. Nyanners says they both got unfairly smeared. -She doesn’t blame fans or talents for believing VShojo’s image; she believed it too. -Praises Aethel for always supporting her and never influencing her decision to leave. He didn’t deserve the rumors or criticism he received when she left the company. -Thought the new wave with Henya might mean they got their act together, or rewrote the contracts but it seems they didn’t. -On Kson: She tuned into her stream and said it was “unreal.” Called Kson a legend for confronting the JP CEO live and telling him she quit. -Ranted a bit about IRL stream backpacks—lots of tech issues. -Ends saying she never thought she’d talk about this until this situation blew up, thought she’d “take it to the grave.” and never have an opportunity to clear her name Hope I got everything. These 10 marketing books are BETTER than college. And total cost is less than a SINGLE textbook. Serious about learning? I'll buy one FOR you. Read until the end to find out how. Here's the list: 1. Purple Cow: If you feel like you can't stand out from the crowd, then read Purple Cow, which teaches you how to actually be special. 2. 80/20 Sales & Marketing: If you work really really hard but don't get anywhere, read 80/20. Bonus: Shows why perfectionism is stupid. 3. 100M Offers: If you have a following but just can't get merch sales or subs to your channel, then read 100M Offers, which will teach you how to create offers so good people feel stupid saying no. 4. Hook Point: If you make great content that gets skipped over, then read Hook Point, which teaches you why the first few seconds matter the most, and how to capture attention. 5. Obviously Awesome: If you struggle to find the right audience that appreciates you, then read Obviously Awesome, which will teach you how to position and find your perfect community. 6. Ogilvy on Advertising: If your tweets and video descriptions feel boring, then read Ogilvy, which teaches how to write stuff that actually makes people care. 7. Never Split the Difference: If you struggle with difficult people or feel like nobody listens to you, then read Never Split the Difference, which teaches how to actually understand people and be understood. Bonus: Works on everything from collabs to chat moderation. 8. The 1-Page Marketing Plan: If you kinda sorta know a bunch of stuff but don't know how to put it together in an actionable plan, then read The 1-Page Marketing Plan, which shows how to put all the pieces together. 9. Profit First: If you struggle with having enough money, and somehow making more money doesn't help, then read Profit First, which teaches you how to work with what you have (and how you'll be able to spend through $11 million if you're given it). 10. Unreasonable Hospitality: If you want what you do to make a difference in people's lives, even though you feel like you're just a silly lil guy, then read Unreasonable Hospitality, which shows why you SHOULD care too much in a world that cares too little. First 10 people who like, RT, and comment with thoughtful answers of which book they want, and why it would fix their #1 problem I'll buy a book for. Technically, these are listed in what I think is the best read order, specifically for Vite. I'm happy to discuss these books too and help practical applications as well. (i couldn't sleep so i made this)
Very frequently asked question: I don't have degree or experience requirements. I'm literally ONLY assessing via what's put in the applications. The application is long form writing so I can analyze everything from copywriting skill to how you explain marketing fundamentals and even your media literacy and storytelling ability. ALL of these things can be learned through videos all over the internet, or books that are available at public libraries, or are otherwise very accessible. We are a small business. I can lie to you about salary, or I can be very brutally honest that we will not be able to match what a corporate salary will get you for the skillset needed to survive here. Quite honestly, if you're looking for a cushy corporate job, then this isn't right for you anyway. This is for those with the fire and passion to push. To do something great. To push the creative boundaries and not be limited by corporate timidity. This is for those who want do the impossible with me. For those who laugh when others say it can't be done. For those who's greatest pleasure in life is to be able to do it anyway, and do it damn well. This is for those who would rather fail spectacularly and publicly trying for something great than to sit in the shadows of safety. I built this company being told it was impossible. Every one of my projects, people roll their eyes at, saying I'm being too much, too ambitious, too reckless. I choose difficult over comfortable. I choose creation over compensation. I choose to build something that'll be remembered instead of just something that pays well. My car won't start. It was made in 2006. I paid myself only about $35,000 a year. I'm the farthest thing from rich. If we translate that to an hourly rate, it's like $8.87 per hour by my last calculations. Literally everyone else at Vite is making significantly more than I am. I've gotten offers to leave for a cushy 300k salary, to sell the company, or to take millions in investor money. But I haven't. And I never will, because what I can do here, the kind of creative work, the kind of food I can make, the tools I can create with the attention to detail I would want if I was buying it-- This is what keeps me alive. This is what keeps my fire burning. This is the core of what Vite is. So, yes. This is meant to scare people away. Because the kind of person who I want in this role is the kind of person who sees this and gets excited, not scared. It's the kind of person who sees what's possible, what money can't do. Do I wish I could pay people a lot more? Yeah! Of course! But this is reality. Maybe as we grow more, stabilize more, we'd be able to match market rates, or exceed them. But right now, as we're trying to grow? I'm trying to find the kind of person who can match the same kind of fire. Besides, if you do any amount of research on us you'd know the benefit package and our policies, so honestly not knowing is also a skill issue in and of itself.

I'm so depressed man. Like I know things will be fine for everyone, they have their own IP, and the support to those affected by Vshojo has been incredible. But half of those affected were already screwed by AT LEAST ONE COMPANY ALREADY. They've already been gaslit and betrayed once. And it happened again. The mental damage this has caused is so immense. No matter what anyone else says to them, or does, it's going to take so long for them to heal. It's going to take so long for them to believe in themselves. It's going to take so long for them to trust again. I'm so tired. I just don't know what to do...
