the reason slayyyter was like that as teen is bc the other white adults in her parents' life didn't hold them accountable & that behavior was then learned by their child and went uncorrected. and then before you know it, here we are.

the thing is if we as grown white ppl WERE calling out other grown white ppl on their racist tendencies to the proper extent, there wouldnt be kids learning & doing & saying racist shit to even be held accountable for when they're older in the first place. its all very cyclical
at the end of the day, we all live in a bigoted world and are subconsciously taught biases that form prejudice of race, gender, sexuality, etc.
we all gotta do the work personally to address those biases and become better people and that鈥檚 all we can ask for.
