I hate to give him credit, but you can tell Mamdani isn't strict about his personal faith because his wife dresses just as casually as he does. It gives people more reassurance that he respects the secular nature of the office he holds, rightfully or otherwise. But El-Sayed? Eh.

Instead of Nigerian Americans, one of the most educationally advanced and above above average financially, to aspire to such levels of representation, based on sheer numbers alone, you instead get us joining the crying about Somalis lol All those massive groups, the churches like RCCG etc, the tribal groups like UIU, even the cult cum community groups, zero to little political leverage.
