This is a real operation. They had the whole system cleanly. From identity theft, to actually filling taxes and getting fraudulent refunds to laundering through car auctions purchases for sale in Nigeria to personal use.
A wicked cycle.
ATLANTA - Akinade Adedeji Raheem, a Nigerian citizen who allegedly conspired to file fraudulent tax returns seeking over $100 million in refunds using stolen identities, was arraigned yesterday on federal fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft charges after his extradition from Benin. justice.gov/usao-ndga/pr/nig… @NDGAnews @IRS_CI @TIGTA @DOJFraudDiv

They did not eliminate him because he was a threat to Islam, but rather because he was a threat to their occultism (Wahhabism). That is why you see them rejoicing after this gruesome crime. Allah says in the Quran:

I want you to remember that most of the people that joined Boko Haram/Ansaru were students of the scholars that antagonized Masussuka, Albani in one of his lectures was bragging that he was the only Ahlusunnah (Salafi-Wahhabi) scholar whose students didn’t join Boko Haram.
As Ansaru is an offshoot of Boko Haram, you cannot completely dismiss the possibility that some of its members still have contact with their teachers and may have sympathy for them.
A collusion is not totally outside the realm of possibility.
Wallahi, Ansaru’s claims about Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka are not very different from the arguments being made by some Izala imams and their followers.
The difference is that Ansaru took the extreme step of killing the Sheikh, while many people among the Izala followers are openly celebrating his assassination or justifying it using arguments similar to those presented by Ansaru.
How can anyone claim to stand for Islam and then celebrate the killing of another Muslim simply because they disagree with his ideology or religious beliefs?
What is even more worrying is that some people appear more interested in proving that the Sheikh deserved what happened to him than in condemning the killing itself.
If we can condemn Ansaru for killing him, we must also question those who celebrate his death using the same arguments that Ansaru has presented. Otherwise, where exactly do we draw the line between religious disagreement and extremism?
May Allah forgive Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and guide us all towards justice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence. Ameen.

The problem is that authenticity of Hadith can be proven but not with scientific exactitude as it is not a mathematical science. Some Hadiths described as “authentic” by some are still challenged by others. Qur’anic verse is above the most authentic Hadith, jurisprudentially.

This is the methodology followed by everyone who authenticates or weakens hadith, including Nasiruddeen Albani who has weakened some Ahadiths that are in Sahihu Muslim and Abubakar Gumi who mentioned a Hadith in Sahihul Bukhari and excommunicated whoever believes in its content.

If someone rejects Hadith XYZ and says he doesn't accept it, that means he doesn't trust the methods used by those who authenticate it to establish that the Prophet said it. Therefore, he is rejecting the narrators of the hadith not the Prophet.

NSCDC CUSTODY DEATHS: COMMITTEE FINDS NEGLIGENCE, RECOMMENDS DISMISSAL OF RESPONSIBLE OFFICERS
The Federal Government’s Independent Investigative Committee set up to probe the reported deaths of 37 detainees in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Niger State has found that the deaths resulted from asphyxiation, describing the incident as preventable.
The committee attributed the deaths to negligence and recommended the summary dismissal of officers found primarily responsible for the incident.
Presenting the committee’s findings, the Chairman said the deaths occurred between the 16th and 17th of September.
The committee also established that physical assault and underlying medical conditions were not identified as causes of death.
It further revealed that the operation leading to the arrest of the detainees was conducted without an operational order or approval from the NSCDC National Headquarters.
The Committee's recommendations are expected to guide further action to ensure accountability and prevent a recurrence.
