The fact is that even when you think you've seen it all, experienced all the tricks and double checked everything, there's always a new level of social engineering waiting to get you.
As lots of you have already seen, my wallets got drained yesterday, lost all my funds and NFTs.
My PC got infected by malware, and the scammer was able to get all my passwords to my wallets (including MetaMask, Phantom, OKX, Unisats and more)
It has been a difficult day for me, but after retracing my steps, and reidentifying the RedFlags, and thinking what could have been done differently,
I want you to read this thread, so you don't need to go through this same nightmare!

Help Needed – My 420 ETH #CryptoPunk 3609 Was Stolen
Dear Community,
Today, I discovered something shocking and deeply troubling. My CryptoPunk 3609, a piece I’ve held and cherished, was stolen from my wallet four months ago—and I didn’t even realize it until now.
I found out when I visited the @cryptopunks website and saw that it was listed for sale. At first, I thought it had to be some mistake because I have never put it up for sale. Confused and concerned, I immediately went to my friend’s office, where I had asked them to securely store my ledger wallet. This is an extremely secure office that deals with funds and implements the highest security standards.
Let me explain the security measures:
The ledger wallet holding the Punk was stored in a locked safe with a secure code.
The safe was inside a room that also required a separate code for entry.
The office itself is guarded around the clock.
Despite these extreme precautions, when my friend opened the safe, took out the ledger wallet, and connected it, the Punk was gone. It was transferred out of the wallet four months ago without any access to the physical ledger or the secured environment where it was kept. The circumstances strongly suggest this could have been related to a compromise of the seed phrase, but we cannot say for certain at this point.
I am reaching out to the community and @yugalabs to:
1. Flag CryptoPunk 3609 as stolen to prevent it from being bought or traded.
2. CryptoPunks collectors: Please do not buy this Punk, treat it as stolen property.
3. @zachxbt can you please help?
This is a devastating situation, and I’m doing everything in my power to recover it. I hope the incredible CryptoPunk and Web3 community can come together to support me in this effort.
The value of an NFT comes from the community consensus, as long as it's stolen, 3609 should be worthless.

To run an NFT project you simply have to be skilled at: community building, brand, communication, product, distribution, events, defi, social media, legal, design, ecommerce, marketing, manufacturing, customer service, team building, IP development, partnerships, gaming...
Obviously this one person doesn't exist. However, a project needs to excel on all fronts in order to succeed in this environment. So what do?
I frequently get dms from founders who've hit a wall. The community is unhappy and they feel like they're forced to work on something that they're not particularly good at. The skillset that got them to this point may not align with what the project requires next.
I don't have all the answers, but I want to share what's working for me.
When you find yourself stuck as a founder, you need to identity your strengths and weaknesses. How can you amplify your strengths and keep doing what you do best?
Then, the critical part: hire the right people to cover your weaknesses. Empower them to do what they do best.
This is the only recipe for sustainable success, particularly in this space. Burn out happens not from working too hard, but from having to perpetually work on things that you're not good at.
To add one more thing to the long list of things a founder should be good at from above: practicing humility. Your project is nothing without its community. You are nothing without your team. To have the best community you must have the best team. To have the best team you must be your best self.

Azuki has embarked on a multifaceted journey, crafting everything from physical products like the TTJ and the golden skateboard, to tech innovations like ERC721A and PBT. We've also held immersive IRL events and built digital products like the collector’s profile. This approach in brand building across multiple verticals has been pivotal in gauging our team's capabilities and identifying what resonates with the community. Dope shit only continues to be the mantra.
The release of Elementals served as a wake up call, highlighting a big gap between our expectations and the initial reception of the product. This led us to reevaluate our product development processes. At the same time we knew rushing things would lead to bad decisions. We regrouped as a team and made a commitment to be more aligned with the community.
Recently I’ve traveled to Asia twice, met with long standing and new holders in person as well as having calls with collectors and builders.
During this time we released drops that were free for collectors: Gus toy vinyl with PBT, Mahomes trading card, Satoshi Nakamoto collab, as well as lore drops to establish further world building: origins of the garden and Beanz 101. We’re also on v5 of refining the collector status feature spec, which is transforming into a more ambitious product that will reward the community.
Ok so that's all great, but looking ahead, do we have a substantial longer term plan?
Absolutely. And it will be a bold move to that will significantly advance our mission of growing a decentralized anime ecosystem. Stay tuned.
