Well in! Senje, @YvonneOkwara. Godspeed.
Anthropic’s IPO filing raises a question that goes well beyond the company’s extraordinary growth. How should investors value a business that commits billions years in advance, earns much of its revenue one day at a time, and operates under rules that give shareholders limited control? zackmukewa.com/insights

This is quite something ! Serbian RTV channel starts yesterday's bulletin by apologizing to viewers👇
"For years, we failed to fulfill our duty. We kept silent, turned a blind eye, reported events one-sidedly and failed to ask necessary questions. We owe our viewers an apology”

Just days after her viral encounter with comedian Conan O'Brien took the internet by storm, Brooklyn bar owner Debbie Shields is embracing her newfound fame. CBS News' Jared Ochacher visited her bar, Confessions Bar and spoke to her about her experience.

Dear @LindaMwananchi_
To win this coming election, we MUST run a campaign like nothing has been run before in Kenya. We cannot only rely on the old methods and hope to beat the veterans who have been doing those things for years!
First of all, the movement must realize where its greatest strength lies. LMM’s greatest strength comes from being owned by the young people. The hopeful, energetic, enthusiastic young people who are full of ideas. Linda Mwananchi MUST find an effective way to tap into this energy and brilliance.
My suggestion is to have a robust volunteer program which invites volunteers to the campaign, vets them, evaluates their abilities and assigns them roles in the campaign purely on a VOLUNTARY basis. The only thing such volunteers would need is recognition and assurance that the movement shall NEVER betray its core ideals.
This program if well run, has the potential to provide the largest group of boots on the ground in the entire nation. We have professionals such as medics, lawyers, teachers and others who are willing to volunteer. We also have creatives such as musicians, influencers and tiktokers who have already volunteered their services and are doing good work. They just need to be organized, focused and integrated into the formal structures of the movement.
Next, fundraising MUST not just be through the traditional pay bill means. Please let us get creative! Let us have merchandise on sale on the website where people can buy not only for themselves but also for others. Let us have an option for people to donate in kind. You may have someone who owns a car and wants to donate it, let them. Let there be a register of donations and personal acknowledgment to each donor.
After that, the manifesto must include all Kenyans, not just a few experts sitting and deciding what to do. Kenyans know the problems they face and they also know the solutions. Engage them more in conversations. Rallies are good but let us have many townhalls.
In fact, a town hall can even be virtual. The way we had twitter spaces and TikTok live to discuss Finance Bill and other oppressive laws in 2024. Let us have at least two of these every week with a principal of Linda Mwananchi and preferably H.E Sifuna. These are very low cost but very high impact activities. During those townhalls, we listen and take note of what Kenyans want.
These engagements will help the movement understand what to prioritize and to visualize how the first 100 days will look like.
All these activities ant structures should culminate in having soldiers all around the 55,000 polling stations. Willing believers who want to change our country for the better. With at least 20 per polling station, our message will reach every nook and cranny on of Kenya.
I am willing to be volunteer number 1 to give many more ideas that I have. @edwinsifuna @abbiezuena @genz___baddie @FredahOndu61763 @paulinenjoroge @gwamaee
This feels a little like comparing the structure of a house with the meals coming out of its kitchen. @edwinsifuna and @honkangata may emphasize different aspects of nation-building, but wealth creation, constitutional accountability and public welfare are complementary, not competing priorities. The test is how they bring those strengths together.
Sifuna and Kang'ata on paper seem like such a dream pairing. Ideologically, though, they are quite different. If they ever became president and deputy, they would need a concrete priority plan on nation building.
If you read Kangata's articles, there is an emphasis on capital accumulation, productivity, manufacturing and building large Kenyan corporations capable of competing globally. Very Kibaki-esque. He also has rather socially conservative views.
Sifuna, on the other hand, emphasis is on constitutionalism, the rule of law, accountability, reducing government wastage and relieving the economic burden on ordinary citizens. If you listen closely, infrastructure and economic development mean little if citizens cannot enjoy their constitutional rights, afford basic necessities or access functioning public services. Like a young James Orengo.
Kang’ata seems to be more interested in how the country creates wealth. Sifuna is more interested in how the state wields its power, manages public resources and serves its citizens.
I think both men mean well for the country, but those differences become important when you move from political philosophy to actual governance. They have a priority problem. A nation needs both the capacity to create wealth and institutions that prevent that wealth from being captured by a few.
Agreeing on what kind of Kenya you want is the easy part. The kizungumkuti is agreeing on what must be sacrificed, funded or postponed to build it.
Most deals come down to a few simple questions. What does each side bring? What haven't we checked? What if someone breaks their word? Is it fair?
Kids work through the same questions every time they share a lemonade stand.
That's the idea behind Zamu and the Big Deal, my new picture book. It's out November 5 on Amazon Kindle and other major book platforms, with an animated series to follow.

I don’t know if those who are categorical that there can be no miracles in elections are following the happenings in Serbia and Brazil. Im super encouraged for 2027 because we in Kenya pray to the same God. Inshallah we get ours too.

A part of the answer to your challenge lies in your description of @edwinsifuna . A blank slate/ new start/ break with the past is what many who support him are looking for. Kenya is in an argument between its past and its future; credentials that speak to status quo aren't the credentials his supporters respect.
