@Nexo has reduced the minimum BTC balance for its Zero-interest Credit from 0.1 BTC to 0.01 BTC. For ETH, the threshold has dropped from 1 ETH to 0.2 ETH.

The idea is straightforward: borrow against your crypto without having to sell it to access liquidity.
Think about a holder who wants funds for an unexpected expense, a business opportunity, or another investment.
Selling crypto means reducing their position.

Of course, the usefulness depends on the borrowing terms and how much collateral a user holds. But lowering the entry threshold makes this model relevant to a much wider group of crypto holders, not just those with substantial portfolios.
This is an important distinction in how people can use digital assets.
Crypto doesn't have to serve only as something you buy, hold and eventually sell.
It can also act as collateral within a broader financial toolkit.
The real utility of crypto-backed lending is turning assets you hold into liquidity you can use.
