Looking forward to seeing this in action!
Appreciate the chance to work with @ArcadiaUnified coach @ziskaclass as we dive deeper into formulating a kinesthetic @ThinkingMaps mini lesson where 5th Ss must identify the relationship between their card and that of another S. Update to follow! @CaminoGrove @ReneeCostarella
So amazing to see plans come to life! Collaboration and critical thinking at its finest.
5th @CaminoGrove Ss used @ThinkingMaps to capture facts about pre-Colombian native people, then met in groups to jigsaw info. Coming up: gallery walk of all 24 maps, edits, then talking their own maps. @ReneeCostarella @ziskaclass @ArcadiaUnified

Our @CaminoGrove 5th gr Thinking Classroom exploring “How many 7s.” One marker per random group encourages S to articulate for accurate recording. Gallery walk confirmed many ways to approach the task. Bonus, it’s fun to move around! @ArcadiaUnified @ReneeCostarella @ziskaclass
Spent time after school with this fabulous crew! Retirees of Highland Oaks at their annual get together. All of my k-4 teachers and so many more. They continue to inspire me….to look forward to retirement :] #arcadiafirstday @ArcadiaUnified

As the new school year begins for many, I thought it might be helpful to share a thread of my favorite online resources for #teachers that are not Google Workspace tools. I don't work for any of these BTW.

5th @CaminoGrove Ss couldn’t make it to @GriffithObserv this year, so the observatory came to us! “Clues from comets” presentation led to ?s from Ss about gravitational pull, white hole theory, space travel, and even perihelion 2021! @ArcadiaUnified @ziskaclass @cgyoungclass

At this time, @ArcadiaUnified classes are expected to continue as scheduled on Monday. However, it is understood that many students and their families, especially those at @AUSDHighlandOak and @FoothillsMS, may be impacted by the Bobcat Fire. 2/
