However, being paid by multiple third party companies to promote their brands inside the event is a separate commercial activity. The event itself allows brands to • Exhibit products through booths • Sponsor the event and receive branding/ marketing exposure • Give talks and presentations • Network with investors, founders, and potential customers • Launch or promote crypto/Web3 products Now people are saying they will be a walking billboard and do things mentioned above 👆 for small amount of money than organizers price is unfair. These events prohibit unauthorized commercial promotion or solicitation, doing so could constitute a breach of the event’s terms and potentially give the organizers grounds to remove the person or take other action. I wouldn’t describe it as automatically “unlawful” without identifying the specific Singapore law or contractual provision that prohibits it.
