My work is situated at the intersection of the theme of this fellowship and a wildly ambitious set of outcomes

1960s literary criticism: This playwright's work is more of a comment on the society than it is a question.

The English sentence "The Spanish language is designed to avoid responsibility" is designed to avoid the responsibility of saying who designed it (no one).
The Spanish language is designed to avoid responsibility. Perhaps the structure of the language is why Latinos are kinda irresponsible. The language informs the people's mentality. Some examples: Today at breakfast the bread 🍞 ran out so guy said: "Se vació" - it emptied itself And then someone dropped their 📞 phone: "Se me cayó" - it fell from me You could say "i dropped it" like "yo deje caer mi celular" or something, but people dont talk that way. Everything in the language absolves responsibility from the individual, as if things happen by chance.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Spanish accidental "se" constructions (e.g. "se me cayó", "se vació") are standard grammar for unintentional events, used by Spanish speakers and paralleled elsewhere. They do not indicate or cause irresponsibility; strong linguistic determinism is discredited. spanishstep.com/archives/35069 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linguisti…

Uzun zamandır bereket kelimesinin bu anlamıyla kullanıldığını duymadım. Türkçemiz ne güzel bir dil 💘
"Bereket, Ali'nin babası gazetecinin önünde durmuştu'' cümlesindeki ''bereket''i, ''luckily'' diye çevirdik. Ders bitti. Zil çaldı. Teneffüs. 🥳

Time to explain: "Yesterday" is a Beatles reference. "I" is a homophone for "eye". "Won" suggests power. "Nobel" is an annagram of noble. Odd is an antonym of "even" which suggests equality. This is about an EFL speaker who finally understands a Beatles song, which is ennobling.
I find this a little unbecoming…

Let me rewrite it in a way even you would understand. "I, an English as a foreign language speaker, finally understood Beatles song lyrics which made me equal to White people." This is genius.
