A very busy weekend out and about
Canvassing in the Ashton Ward on Saturday.
Case work in Deepdale on
St Paul’s Road
St Anthony’s Road
Leicester Road
Albert Road -
Out on Harewood Road with residents reporting the white lines near the
give-way sign have faded & need urgent attention. Causing traffic issues.
Pothole on Albert Road finally got filled
all two years by LCC.
Listening to Residents, following up their concerns and getting things done.

The BBC is cutting £500 million and one in ten jobs, with staff on Newsnight expecting their programme to go.
A TV licence costs £180 a year and carries no vote in how the BBC is run.
The Charter Review should make licence fee payers members, with a real stake and a say.

Residents from Clifton Grove reported on-going ant-social behaviour, with young people playing music throughout the night on the open space behind residents gardens, backs onto Deepdale Retail Park.
A meeting was organised with Lancashire Police site manager & and the retail manager to discuss the issues As a result, the retail site Manager
agreed to put barriers in place to restrict
access to the car park, preventing vehicles from driven onto the open space.
A big thank you to Lancashire Local Police and the retail site manager for listening to residents and taking action to resolve problems.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the People’s Emergency Briefing in Preston earlier this week. It was great to see such a good turnout and hear so many thoughtful and constructive contributions.
With temperatures reaching 32°C in Preston today, the message couldn’t have been more relevant. Climate change is already affecting our communities, and we all have a role to play, whether that’s as residents, businesses, employers, community groups or public organisations.

Important notice about how to join the Pride in Place Board and get your voice heard @prestonlabour @blogpreston @MelClose55
The Ribbleton Pride in Place Programme in #Preston is moving at pace now and you may have seen that Cheryl Taylor has been successfully appointed. She has worked in the Ribbleton area for many years and will bring a wealth of local knowledge and strong leadership skills to the new Board that will be created.
I, along with the new Chair and Ribbleton Councillor, Pat Varty are now looking for local people to join the Board, which will set the 10 year plan for improvements.
If you are interested in joining the Board, please visit: ribbletonpip.org/join-the-bo…
We are also running the first of many consultations to find out what the residents of Ribbleton want to see the £20m funding spent on. Complete the short survey at: s.surveyplanet.com/p09vqu0m
Please do share this post with anyone from Ribbleton that you think will be interested in helping shape its future.

So sad for Jonathan he has worked tirelessly in Ribbleton for 40 years to be replaced by a Reform candidate who couldn’t even be bothered to turn up and no one has seen him in the Ward. It’s soul destroying 🥲 @prestonlabour
