Today, I became a Royal Ambassador & Member of Royal Court Ooni of Ife Kingdom.
I feel greatly honored & inspired to be a recipient of the prestigious Royal African Award @RoyalAfricanYLF from the house of Arole Oodua, @OoniAdimulaIfe Imperial Majesty- Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II.
Always respect a superior argument, and that's what she did there.
Some people find it difficult to do; they would rather divert the topic or resolve it with name-calling, such as bigotry, tribalism or whatever.
Respecting a superior argument is an honorable thing to do. Logic will always triumph over emotion.

Today, if you compare Ekiti State with the remaining 5 states that were created in 1996, we ranked better than them in terms of multidimensional poverty, child mortality and mostly other health issues, out-of school children, debt relative to IGR, budget discipline (implemented 87%) in 2025 ahead of the remaining states, ranked better on Ease of Doing Business (8th nationally) etc.
Compare us with Bayelsa that gets more FAAC than Ekiti? We are far better.
Bayelsa earned 900 bn plus in 2025.
Ekiti earned 275bn.
Poverty rate in Bayelsa is 88%
Poverty rate in Ekiti is 36%
We are not oil producing state!
Yes, no be data we go chop. But data again is stubborn.
Have we solved all our problems? No.
Are we backward? No.
On Oct 1st, 1996 when Ekiti State was created by Late Sanni Abacha, we were not given a take-off grants. This was applicable also to the remaining five states that were also created in 1996.
We started from the scratch. We started with zero kobo.
This was not the tradition. Previous states that were created got take-off grants which helped them to hit the ground running.
In Ekiti, we had to depend on donations from our people.
Today, we are building Ekiti Knowledge zone.
We didn't get here by accident.
We know our challenges and we will continue to put pressure on government to address those challenges.
But hey, we are not backward. We are developing at our own pace.

This is Ekiti, a stunning blend of morning mist over ancient mountains, smooth roads opening up new opportunities, and a rich culture driving every bit of our growth.
Beyond the beautiful landscapes, it is our heritage and our unstoppable drive for progress that truly define who we are. Experience the heartbeat of a state on the move.
Again, what's happening in Ondo @OndoStateOnline for crying out loud? What's going on
