A massive new mural towers over a Tehran square 🇮🇷 A giant warrior swings a mace out of a storm-tossed sea while a phoenix-like bird soars above him and burning warships sink below. The Persian text reads "The Devil's army will drown in the Persian Gulf," and the English says "From the Persian Gulf, A New Power Rises." The imagery seems to draw on Persian legend (a Rostam-style hero and a Simurgh-style bird) and turns it toward today's tensions in the Gulf. Propaganda or powerful public art? Either way, the scale is staggering. #Iran #Tehran #PersianGulf #StreetArt #Mural #PublicArt #Propaganda
