ELECTION NIGHT WAS A WIN FOR ANIMALS 🗳️
✅ 40+ animal-friendly candidates won in New York State
✅ Washington, D.C. banned foie gras
✅ Denver, CO also prohibited foie gras
✅ Lemon Grove, CA prohibited the sale of birds in pet stores
❌ Colorado REJECTED an amendment that would have made hunting and fishing a constitutional right
✅ Ashley Hinson and Roger Marshall, supporters of the dangerous Save Our Bacon Act that would put farmed animals back in cages, lose their seats
This is why animal advocates need to be politically active!
When we show up at the ballot box, animals win. 💪
Gillibrand: We’re going to win Mississippi. Every day, the number of votes that Scott Colom has, has increased. I think The New York Times had him up by over 1,500 votes than his opponent. And I think he’s just going to keep consolidating.
The provisional ballots that are yet to be counted are from counties where he overperformed. So we’re optimistic that he’s going to keep building that lead.
Maddow: It is Black women who won every single one of those races in Georgia for the Democrats—governor, secretary of state, attorney general, agriculture commissioner, insurance commissioner, school superintendent, labor commissioner and public service commissioner.

This was the very point I expressed earlier.
I am a seasoned politician/political activist, first elected in 1990, & I've never seen anything as clear - as powerful - as immediate - & as overwhelming - & as rightly irresistible - as the total rejection of Schumer & Jeffries.

I honestly don't think most Democratic party insiders realize how done people are with Democratic Party antics. This isn't 2008 any more. People are fed up. They want real change. They don't want ACA tax credits, they want M4A, they want health care. They don't want a decrease in ICE funding, they want ICE shut down. They don't want aid to Israel decreased, they want it stopped. Party oldtimers like Nancy Pelosi (and insiders like David Axelrod and the superdelegates) are not up to speed on where voters' heads are at. The disconnect is huge. It will need to be resolved. The very first test will be whether Jeffries and Schumer survive in their leadership roles.

It's remarkable how nearly every Dem Senate and Governor victory speech had an economic populist message.

Incredible how the AI industry is so over-leveraged and under-regulated it can't weather a single threat without complete collapse. It's almost like their hyper-inflated growth has been contingent on zero oversight and data centers blanketing the land & stealing our resources.

A thought I've been chewing on for a while: Abdul, in many ways, is kind of a throwback to an old fashioned type of Michigan Dem — the sort of social justice Catholic pro-union type, only Muslim
