Hey, I just put on that table where they could be if they get with the program, and get up to speed. It's not that difficult to ditch your salesperson. I help folks do it. Send anyone my way. I'm more than happy to help for karma. 👍

It's important to benchmark. How much is in your TFSA? Here's the numbers for maxed TSX and maxed global equities ...
TFSA benchmarking. @MarkMcGrathCFP @JonChevreau @StockTrades_CA The total in the TFSA holding XIU from the start of 2009 to the end of 2025 was $285,000. Investing in XWD within a TFSA over the 2009 to 2025 period generated more than $340,000 (the heavy weighting and strong gains of U.S. stocks in XWD most likely explain why it surpassed XIU). via @globeandmail

Got $350,000 in your maxed-out TFSA? If not, you're under performing.
Of course you have to have high risk tolerance for this comparison.

This will accelerate some of us boomers leaving Toronto, but then the younger folks won't be able to afford the property taxes.
Ya, not surprising. @Sall_Goodman Bradshaw would not be able to do anything, anyway. The unions are in control of Toronto. We'll pay more for services (taxes) and get less in services. Pay More. Get Less. This is the way. And yes, she is a whacko 🤡

One quick demonstration of ...
1) much lesser returns for Canadians with severe home bias
2) we don't avoid U.S. and international stocks to avoid withholding taxes
3) proper asset allocation rules and wins, always

They are everything the Yankees and Dodgers are not. They play baseball. 👍 ⚾️
The Brewers are being celebrated like they invented baseball.
They are doing things that have become unusual.
They have an old school tough manager who players love playing for.
They focus on basic easy to understand basic fundamentals.
They have a hitting coach that was an overachieving player for skill that played in the big leagues.
They hit the ball the other way.
They value putting the ball in play.
They adjust their approach based on situation and count.
They are not addicted to exit velocity and launch angle bullshit.
They bunt and steal bases.
They do not have selfish superstars that need to be treated like celebrities.
The Brewers simply play the game how it was meant to be played.

Gausman should have rented ... Despite listing the house at nearly $6.9 million, the Gausman could be taking a loss on the property. The family bought the mansion, which was built in 2019, for $7.65 million back in 2022, after the pitcher joined the Jays after signing a five-year, $110-million deal.

This was just posted over on Facebook by @GeorgeTakei . #AdAstra Walter - and Pavel 🖖
My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man. Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date.
Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course.

Oh no. I watched all of the original Star Trek series stuff in the 60's, and quite a few times each. RIP.
