Warning! to all Tesla drivers, WE HAD AN ACCIDENT ON FSD that should not have been and I wanted to share what happened so it will not happen to you.
My partner and I were in Yellowstone National Park coming down a curvy hill. The car was on FSD and I was in the drivers seat. My partner had opened the computer screen looking for a function and opened "controls" to look for it. He tried to scroll down not realizing he was already at the bottom of the page and inadvertently touched the "NEUTRAL" icon.
Without any warning the car came out of FSD. We were going down a hill around a curve, I took over immediately and we were lucky enough to only hit a guardrail causing damage to the side of the Tesla but fortunately no known injuries.
Again, His thumb inadvertently hit the "Neutral" button while scrolling and this caused the car to come out of FSD while it was moving at speed down a highway. We in no way desired the car to be in neutral and it shocked and scared the crap out of us.
If we had been going 80 MPH down the freeway or on a curve without a guardrail...this could have been much worse.
Because it came out of FSD automatically by the car itself, the new screen that pops up asking you why you came out of FSD did not appear so feed back was not sent and I did not have the sense at the moment to send a clip, although I am not sure how to do this anyway.
I did save the memory stick and the police have taken the video to analyze further.
I could not find a reasonable way to contact Tesla and inform them of this "neutralising" function and advise this should probably be turned off in FSD or made much harder to activate it.
If anyone knows how to share this further with Tesla, please let me know.
And everyone who is using FSD, please be cautious about scrolling the control screen when you are driving.
Here is a picture of the icon/button I am talking about.

Just read this — guy retired, put an air mattress in his 2025 Model 3, and let FSD drive him through all 48 lower states + Canada.
I recently retired and decided to let my 2025 Model 3 Full Self Drive me through all 48 of the Lower United States and Canada. I didn't have much of a plan. I bought a fitted air mattress for the back, let AI route a rough version of the trip with one Super Charger in each state for a waypoint, and headed out. I wanted to have FSD do the whole thing, but got kicked three times for sun glare and rain. It didn't have any issue with the snow in Colorado though. Along the way I visited friends and family, visited a few of my buddies I lost in Iraq, and got to visit the Flight 93 Memorial on the 25th anniversary of 9-11. The glass stones have my father's ashes in them, and I left one in each state. Overall, it was an amazing trip, and I cannot wait to do it again. Anyone else hit every state in their Tesla?... No, I didn't go with the intent of winning contests as I didn't learn about any of that until after. I was like Forest Gump. When I got tired, I slept. Hungry, I ate. And when I had to, you know, I went.

Good morning, everyone in the Tesla and tech community. EV community and everywhere, beyond that, we've had a beautiful weekend of rain and some snow in the high, Sierra Nevada mountains. It's looking like a beautiful fall and early start to winter.
Oregon Cybertruck owner Cayden waited 7 years after the 2019 unveil. Paid off student loans, worked a job he hated for 6 years, got laid off, moved 3 times, brought his wife over after visa rejection, had a kid, and donated plasma hundreds of times just to make the numbers work.
Ordered the ~$60k Cybertruck during the February special. 4 months and 10,000 miles later he still can’t believe it’s his.
Now his old-school dad (Chevy Silverado 1500 owner and EV skeptic) is a “Tesla fan for life” and wants to dump the Silverado for a Cybertruck. Mom is looking at trading her Porsche Macan GTS for a Model Y Performance. Coworker bought a Model Y for his wife—their first EV—after seeing it.
This is how trucks actually convert people. One owner who put in the work, and the skeptics around him start asking for the keys.

Seoul Central District Court just tossed a refund lawsuit from ~89 Tesla owners who bought the FSD option between 2019–2022.
The court ruled FSD was never a contract for Level 5 unsupervised autonomy. It was an open-ended package of features that would arrive as tech and regulations allowed. Tesla had already delivered Autopilot, Enhanced Autopilot, and more recent city-driving/traffic-light updates to those HW3 cars. Delays caused by Korean and international rules are not Tesla’s fault.
Another market confirming what owners who actually use the software already know: FSD is supervised driver assistance that keeps getting better, not a broken promise of a robotaxi in your driveway tomorrow. Approvals keep landing. Unauthorized hacks keep getting shut down. Execution continues.
South Korea 🇰🇷 has had a big week for Tesla FSD (Supervised). A Seoul court ruled that Tesla doesn't have to refund the owners who sued over FSD, and police referred 80 owners to prosecutors for switching it on with unauthorised devices.
On 29 October, the Seoul Central District Court dismissed a suit from owners who bought the FSD option between 2019 and 2022 and sued in December 2024. The court said the option was a contract to deliver features once regulatory approval and the technology allowed, not a promise of a car that drives itself, and that delays caused by domestic and overseas regulations can't be blamed on Tesla.
The court also pointed out that owners already have Autopilot and Enhanced Autopilot, and that a recent update gave older Hardware 3 cars traffic light and sign recognition and city-street driving.
On the unlocking, Tesla raised the alarm itself. In March, Tesla Korea reported the software weakness to the transport ministry as a cybersecurity threat, then switched FSD off remotely on cars that had been unlocked. When some owners kept trying, the ministry called in the police in April.
Those cars weren't cleared to run it. In South Korea, Tesla FSD (Supervised) is only available on US-built Model S, Model X and Cybertruck. China-built Model 3 and Model Y can't legally use it.
Police say the devices were bought in Europe or China, or built by the owners. Officers seized 21 devices. The owners were referred under South Korea's Motor Vehicle Management Act, which bans changing software that can affect a car's safe operation. The penalty is up to 2 years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won.
For owners in Europe 🇪🇺, Tesla FSD (Supervised) TAD is arriving country by country through proper approval, so there's no reason to take that risk.
It looks like the court and the police landed in the same place this week: FSD comes when regulators approve it, not before.
Tesla just sent a Cybercab autonomously around Austin for Halloween with skeletons in the seats.
No driver.
No wheel.
No pedals.
Just unsupervised autonomy on public roads and a caption that said “Bone voyage.”
Legacy auto is still running supervised demos in controlled lots. Tesla is already doing Halloween runs with the actual product.
Would you take the ride tonight? 🎃💀
Optimus reservations supposedly opening in early December and I’m already mentally clearing space in the house.
I want one. Not “it would be cool someday” want one — actual “put my name down the second the form goes live” want one. Fold laundry, grab stuff off high shelves, handle the boring shit so I don’t have to. I’m in.
My wife is… less convinced. She’s picturing a humanoid robot in the living room and giving me the look she gives me when I start talking about buying another Tesla accessory. Fair. But I’m still doing it.
If the report is real, December can’t come fast enough.
NEW: Tesla is opening up reservations for its humanoid robot Optimus in early December, per a source

Nico Rosberg (2016 F1 champ) spent a week in a Cybertruck on FSD Supervised in SF and called it life-changing.
He got time back on the commute, stayed sharp for meetings, and said he’s now fully willing to hand over control.
When the guy who spent his career fighting for tenths of a second is happy to let the car drive, the “I like to drive” argument gets a lot quieter.
Nico Rosberg, F1 World Champion & founder of Rosberg Ventures, has been testing Cybertruck with FSD(S) around San Francisco, and says "it’s been LIFE-CHANGING!"
"My whole racing career, I was the one in control behind the wheel. But I’m now fully willing to hand over control"

A totally blind guy just took his first Tesla Robotaxi ride and said the app, the ride, and the drop-off all felt “unusually normal.”
Meanwhile Tesla is quietly giving first-time riders in Houston and Dallas a free ride right now.
No driver to tip. No “can you see the car?” dance. Just a car that shows up, handles the whole trip, and drops you where it said it would.
This is the part most people still don’t get. Robotaxi isn’t just cheaper Uber. It’s the first time a lot of people who can’t drive (or don’t want to) get the same baseline mobility as everyone else—without needing a special van, a scheduled pickup, or someone else’s schedule.
Free first rides while the Houston geofence just expanded massively is the right move. Let people experience it once with zero friction. The ones who need it most will notice the difference immediately.
Totally blind, first ride in Robotaxi, the app was totally accessible, the ride accessible, the drop-off accessible, it felt unusually normal! @TeslaSI
Tesla FSD just did a full U-turn on a closed highway because it watched the other cars doing it.
Route 2 in East Hartford, lane closed, drivers reverse onto the freeway and exit the entrance ramp. Narrator fully expected it to shit the bed or force an intervention. GPS never even updated. Car just copied the traffic and executed.
“I was not expecting this whatsoever.”

Beautiful fall day! The leaves are changing colors and it's starting to get chili out.
My work made us grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato bisque soup!
What are you having for lunch?
Absolutely stunning. I wouldn't expect any less from a former world #1. Let's go DIMA!
On fire in #WTTMontpellier!🔥
An exchange of stunning shots! Xiang Peng fought back from 2-9 to 7-9 in the decider but Dimitrij Ovtcharov held his ground to take the W!⚡️

In 2018 SpaceX strapped Elon’s personal Tesla Roadster (with a mannequin named Starman in the driver’s seat) to the first Falcon Heavy and yeeted it into a heliocentric orbit.
It’s still out there. ~105–108 million km from Earth right now, looping the Sun every ~557 days at ~83,500 km/h. About 3,180+ days in space. Next relatively close pass of Earth isn’t until 2047.

He has always been a force to be reckoned with and now he's coming back better than ever after his surgery.
Love to see it. Get 'em Dima!!
🇩🇪 Dima into the next round! ➡️
The German star defeats Xiang Peng 3-2 in the decider to advance to the Round of 16 at WTT Champions Montpellier! 💪
This result seems quite symbolic of China’s current situation with its next generation: Both 19-year-old Wen Ruibo and 23-year-old Xiang Peng lose their first-round matches to experienced veterans.

Some exhausted dude at a Supercharger in Austin at 6 AM half-read the giant red “Emergency Drive Away” warning (you know, the one that literally says it’ll wreck your car and the stall for up to $25k), tapped Activate anyway, and yanked the plug out like a moron.
First real-world use of the feature, and it wasn’t even an emergency—just pure lack of brain cells.

Tesla Robotaxi is now giving first-time riders their first ride for free.
App screenshots show “First ride on us” at $0.00 in Houston (also reported in Dallas). Classic growth move while the fleet scales.
Try it before you form an opinion.
Simon Gauzy just cooked Tomokazu Harimoto 3-0 (15-13, 11-7, 11-6) at WTT Champions Montpellier.
World #3, fresh Asian champion, gone in the round of 32. On home soil. In front of a French crowd losing its mind.
This is the biggest win of Gauzy’s career by a mile. He’d never beaten Harimoto before. Now he swept him. The 32-year-old ranked around 30th just took the scalp of the third-best player on the planet.
And that backhand? Insane. Gauzy was ripping winners off it like it was his forehand, dictating points and leaving Harimoto with nothing. Relentless pressure, perfect timing, and the kind of aggression that turns a top-3 player into a spectator.
SIMON GAUZY🇫🇷 ÉLIMINE LE N°3 MONDIAL HARIMOTO ! 🤯🤯
Une victoire 3-0 face au Japonais, récemment sacré champion d’Asie ! Quelle victoire !!! 😍

Ex-Tesla Autopilot guy (now GM’s CPO) says dropping radar for vision-only is a "weird religious stance that ignores physics."
GM’s plan: radar + lidar + cameras for highway autonomy in 2028.
Tesla’s plan: already doing unsupervised city Robotaxi with cameras today.
