At the unveiling of a memorial to Pulham Airfield in #Norfolk this morning. It’s one of many being marked by the charity @ABCTlive. You can now see this stone outside the @PennoyerCentre in Pulham St Mary (which also does a mean sandwich!) See more on @BBCLookEast at 1740.

A lovely aerial shot of the General Aeroplane Sheds at RAF Old Sarum, sometime in the early 1930's. The archetypal WW1 Training Depot Station design that changed very little during the later RAF expansion period towards the end of the 30's.

The most outstanding part of this #heroism was its ubiquity. If you're in Europe, then there will be an #airfield or base near you that is worth preserving in their memory. @ABCTlive. This is a still from 15th June 1944, #CarefreeCarolyn crashlanding.

A walk out on my own tonight in the rain, due to Daisy being a fair weather dog. A 3 mile round trip up to the site of RAF Balderton. Barely anything left of it now, commemorated by a @ABCTlive memorial thanks to the efforts of the #RAFBalderton Research Group.

Existing fairly close to Belhaven Sands in East Lothian but, although probably not related to the #WW1 torpedo testing airfield (more likely linked to Army and/or anti-invasion defence use), does anyone happen to know what this foundation represents?
