I wish instead of telling us we didn’t matter, your admin would listen to those of us who care so deeply about these issues and supported from the very beginning- on the ESCALATOR. I didn’t pull a lever for a single Democrat, but it isn’t just the war. It’s a lot more than that.
Those of us who have been doing this for decades are crucial allies. We are constantly reading, feeling, etc - we know what people are saying and what they feel because we feel it too.
This admin has allowed many “influencers” and “yes men” to become cocky and full - of both money and influence. And anyone who tried to warn, give honest straightforward feedback, and address what was clearly happening were tarred and feathered for it. We tried. A weaponized group of people being gaslit every single day all day made it so that those of us who were truly raising the alarm were relegated to the back of the room or not included AT ALL.
We were told our votes weren’t needed. We were told we were no longer wanted and not in the “cool kids club.” It is a critical error and one we are all feeling the effects of now.
Stay out of primaries. Stop decreeing the candidate who will run. Let THE PEOPLE DECIDE. You’ve weaponized enough in the party against themselves that any utterance against “the master” is met with fire and brimstone.
There is so much more. Stop telling people barely making it by that the economy is the best it’s ever been and then in the same breath strip their jobs from them with AI and H1B. Stop starting endless foreign wars and then telling the people that they need to shut up and take it. You had an opportunity for so much and did NOTHING while also breaking your campaign promises and shoving unelectable and unlikable candidates down our throats (ahem, Darlene Graham and even Byron - it’s by the GRACE OF GOD he won.)
You messed up. You lost the trust of a desperate people and refused to listen when we told you what was happening. You relegated MAHA to the back of the bus while you took a giant dump all over their environmental and toxin concerns. You relegated die hard supporters who call balls and strikes to the fiery pits of hell by letting your influencer mouthpieces curse them out while they begged for shekels.
Rethink everything. Or never, ever win again.
And for the love of God, you are OUR REPRESENTATIVES. NOT CELEBRITIES. And for all of the people on this app consuming podcasts all day long and feeling like the people you are watching are some sort of heroes? Touch. Grass. Stop. These people are only going to lose relevance when YOU STOP WATCHING.

I used to say it with a little laugh. “If Jesus was God, why did He weep like a weak man?”
I mocked the shortest verse in the Bible. Years later it brought me to my knees.
“Jesus wept.” John 11:35. Two words. It should bring you to your knees.
Then I actually read WHERE He’s standing. At the tomb of His friend Lazarus. And here’s the part that undoes me: He’s about to raise him. In sixty seconds He’ll shout that dead man back to life. The victory is already loaded.
And He weeps ANYWAY.
He didn’t have to. The happy ending was already in His hand. But He looked at the grief around Him, the sisters, the mourners, the sheer wreckage that death makes of everything, and He entered it.
He let it hit Him. God, with tears running down His face, at the graveside of someone He loved.
The God of Islam was too majestic to weep. I was proud of that. Until I met a God who was strong enough to.
“We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses.” Hebrews 4:15.
Whatever you’re burying right now. He’s not watching from a safe distance.
He’s the God who weeps at gravesides.
And then empties them. For all eternity.

Police pull over to arrest Florida man—for blocking Flock camera on public sidewalk.
He sat holding a 12-foot pool skimmer with sign taped on top.
Today all camera saw was sign:
"Down With Flock Cameras."
A witness offered to help:
"What's your name? I'll come bail you out!"
Carl Gunn, age 77, told a local reporter that 2 police cruisers had already stopped by to interrogate him for at least 15 minutes.
"I have a constitutional right to my privacy," he said.
"I’m a law-abiding citizen, and I don’t need anyone sticking their nose in my business... And if they do, I’m going to chop it off."

Police in Wisconsin were caught secretly installing Flock cameras in neighborhoods without telling the city council or mayor.
When they were caught, the mayor defended them saying that the police chief has every right to spy on residents for “safety” and doesn’t need anyone’s permission.

Flock is now threatening Jason Bassler with legal action for exercising his First Amendment right to mock and criticize Flock.
Hopefully he knows this letter carries no legal weight whatsoever. Flock increasingly looks like a bunch of lawless THUGS who violate your right to privacy and then threaten you for complaining about it.

Hey @glangley — I was the head of design for connected devices at Axon when we did the deal with @Flock_Safety.
What you may not know is that our CEO, Rick Smith had met with Vigilant, the ALPR leader at the time.
During the demo, their team pulled up a random Axon employee’s car from the parking lot and showed the Axon leadership everywhere that car had been.
I wasn’t in the meeting, but I’m told Rick immediately kicked them out of the Scottsdale office.
You can make a good case for officers (hell, even politicians) wearing body cams because it empowers citizens to watch the watchers.
Flock offers no such benefit.
You’ll likely justify the surveillance state you’re helping create with platitudes of a “safer society”.
But America wasn’t founded to be safe.
America was founded to be FREE.
Flock is much more compatible with totalitarian countries like China or the UK, and I wish you great success there.
As Benjamin Franklin famously summarized America’s ethos of rugged individualism:
"Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Now kindly get the flock out of America.

On behalf of the largest police news outlet in the world, we're officially calling for the resignation or termination of this officer IMMEDIATELY.
A female Fort Worth police officer was caught on camera threatening to ticket a retired federal law enforcement officer and Christian street preacher for “offensive speech.”
The officer told the man that if someone is offended by his preaching, then “we have a problem” and said she would issue him a ticket. When he asked if she was really going to ticket him for offensive speech, she replied, “Yes, I am.”
This is a blatant violation of the First Amendment. Police officers do not have the authority to ticket people for speech that offends others. That is the exact opposite of how freedom of speech works in America.
The fact that this officer targeted a retired federal law enforcement officer who was simply preaching makes this even more unacceptable.
Departments that employ officers who openly disregard the Constitution need to clean house. This kind of behavior erodes public trust and makes every good officer’s job harder.
Pass this along so more people see what is happening on our streets.

Good news! We have a Congressman attempting to ban Flock cameras at the national level! Call 202-224-3121 and ask them to connect you to your Representative.
Flock and Flock-like cameras track where law-abiding people go, who they visit, and how they live - all without a warrant.
I attempted to stop this with an amendment, which unfortunately failed recently in Committee; that’s not the end of this, though. The mass surveillance of the American People must end. Call your legislators.
