Capitalism is dying
If you look around the country today, you'll see the majority of Gen Z and a faction of millennials don't like Capitalism.
That doesn't mean they want socialism.
The GOP needs to embrace the new age and forgo the never ending talk of big business and "small government". President Trump has made great progress with this.
We want stronger unions, but welfare to be slashed. We want nationalized sectors and an end to globalism.
If Republicans were to adopt a healthcare plan and become more of a workers first party, every election would be a red tsunami.
Oh and also not run indians for office.

Bukele is proof that Great Man Theory is not dead
Nou pa gen okenn enterè ni pou nou vin domine pèp ayisyen an, ni pou nou mete men sou richès Ayiti.
Nou se yon peyi modès k ap devlope. Sèl sa nou vle, se pou kat teknisyen avyasyon nou yo tounen lakay yo. Epi n ap bay gang yo yon leson, gang sa yo k ap fè pèp ayisyen an soufri, ki touye moun pèp la renmen yo, k ap anpeche l viv yon lavi nòmal, lib, san laperèz.
Nou vin ann Ayiti pou nou goumen kont mechan yo.
Men sa m ap mande nou: fè nou konfyans, lapriyè sèl vrè Bondye a, epi mande L pou L geri Ayiti.
“Lè sa a si pèp ki pote non m lan lapriyè nan pye m, si yo soumèt devan mwen, si yo pran chache m ankò, si yo vire do bay vye peche yo t'ap fè yo, m'ap tande yo nan syèl kote m ye a, m'ap padonnen peche yo, m'ap fè peyi a kanpe ankò.”
2 Kwonik 7:14
Ede nou ede Ayiti.
Epi lè misyon nou an fini, n ap tounen lakay nou. Petèt jenerasyon Ayisyen k ap vini yo ap sonje nou kòm zanmi ki te vin ede yon lè.

Donald Trump is of a generation that drilled hiding under their school desk in case of a nuclear strike. Perhaps his views on proliferation are outdated? We shouldn't wager the future of Gen Z on his fear of the N-word.
Moreover, Vance's promise that Iran won't become another forever war isn't exactly confidence inspiring. America First doesn't give a damn about Iran or any other God-forsaken country in that sandbox.
Bring the troops home. Let Israel fight its own wars.

I still remember when neo cons insisted that this war would be over and done with in a matter of days. And I remember when we told them it wouldn’t play out like that, and it would prove to be a massive blunder, and they yelled at us and called us “panicans” and traitors.

At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered.
I told her I’d pray for her.

Hollywood and GOP stooges like PragerU fully indoctrinated people into believing the Klan was the American Al Qaeda. The KKK was a civil resistance group; the last gasp of our founding stock.
They want you to know it's permissive to kill Whites. It's permissive to kill Nationalists. It's permissive to kill Americans.

You can see how the aesthetics of debate give the left wingers the advantage post Charlie.
They walk up and say:
“We killed you and we will kill you again?”
And then what’s the response?
A joke? That seems weak.
A prayer? That looks like cope.

If thus doesn’t hit you as one of the most dystopian things imaginable…
think about the consequences for future generations. For the sons and daughters of people who become helplessly addicted to gambling….
A world where everything is financialized….
Everything is commodified….
Nobody makes a move without figuring out how to profit from it…
Every corner of the economy becomes another prediction market, another bet on what might happen, another opportunity to make quick money…
What happens to long-term thinking? To developing a thesis, committing to an idea, and spending years doing the work to make it happen?
What Kalshi and Polymarket are doing goes far beyond the fight over state and tribal gaming laws. And the CFTC under @ChairmanSelig is actively fighting state efforts to regulate these markets and to further fuck over native Americans
My concern is that they are breaking down the incentives to work and create things in America.
Keep allowing these companies to grow this way, and think about what happens to the next generation of entrepreneurs, dreamers, and builders…
People who want to change the world and improve it, whose attention, money, and ambition get sucked into betting on outcomes.
Why spend years building something when you’re constantly being sold the idea that you can make the money you want by betting on whether someone else succeeds?
The harm reaches way way beyond the person placing the bet. It reaches their family, their children, and everything they might otherwise have created…think about the young men this fucks up…
And the advertising makes it worse. These platforms accept people as young as 18, including young adults who cannot legally use conventional sportsbooks in many states…
@schwartzbWSJ and The Wall Street Journal has already reported that Polymarket paid creators to stage fake bets and fake wins…
Think about what that teaches someone just entering adulthood about money, work, and what is worth pursuing…
I believe the cumulative harm will be far greater than people currently recognize…
The losses will include businesses never started, ideas never pursued, families damaged, and years spent chasing the next outcome instead of creating something that lasts…
That is how this can destroy the very things that make a society worth living in.
And that is the point. \rant
S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kalshi are joining forces to build the next generation of financial markets.
The Dow launched in 1896. The S&P 500 in 1957. The idea was simple: bring individual stocks together into a single benchmark, giving people a clearer view of the broader market.
Over time, products built around those benchmarks transformed investing. Index funds, ETFs, futures, and options gave investors ways to gain diversified market exposure and hedge broad market swings.
These indices became foundations of global finance. More than $20 trillion is indexed or benchmarked to the S&P 500 alone.
Today, this structure extends beyond stocks to bonds, commodities, currencies, and more.
The next step is to bring that structure to the events that shape everyone’s lives.
Through this partnership, S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kalshi will work together to create indices composed of Kalshi event contracts.
Think about what that opens up.
An index of political power. An index of supply chain risk. An index tracking AI’s impact on employment. An index of sports outcomes that affect broadcasters, advertisers, cities, and small businesses. An index of weather risks that shape harvests, energy demand, and business revenues.
Each would bundle event contracts into a single indicator, helping people understand how related risks are evolving.
Over time, products built around these indices could offer diversified exposure to those events and new ways to hedge their impact.
The events that shape our lives could become as easy to track and gain exposure to as the S&P 500.

The nerve of trying to make the month of our Independence a celebration of them is why they are so loathed
Indian-born Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi introduces a bipartisan resolution to designate July as “Indian American Heritage Month,” backed by nearly 60% of the House.
Krishnamoorthi says more than 5.2 million “Indian Americans” live in the US, declaring:
“Indian Americans have helped shape this country for generations…to honor that legacy and celebrate the many ways Indian Americans continue to enrich our country.”
