Saw that @SIXR_cricket post and it nails something obvious
too many Web3 projects start with a token a glossy whitepaper and promises of ownership before anyone actually built anything
Starting token first is basically betting on loyalty without earning it
When the product or community experience isn’t there the token becomes the only thing people talk about and that is how you get pumps, rug pulls and short lived attention
Contrast that with projects that focus on real utility and fun first
think early crypto games that had no token at launch but were genuinely enjoyable
People stuck around because the experience was good and when tokens arrived later they felt deserved
If we want to break the hype cycle treat tokens like encores not the opening act
Build something people actually want to use grow the community around shared experiences and value then introduce tokens as a reward or enhancement
That’s how you make something that survives bear markets and actually matters long term.
I would love to hear examples of projects that pulled this off. there are a few out there and they’re worth studying
Most people won’t upgrade to a higher Grok Bot plan, Elon.
The jump in cost is simply too steep for the majority of users.
$100 or $200 a month is real money for average households, especially outside the US.
Many people are already stretching to pay for their current plan, and a sudden big increase pushes them past what they can afford.
It’s not just the price. Inflation, other subscriptions, rent, and everyday costs leave little room for another high AI bill.
Power users who run bots all day can justify it, but most people only need occasional or moderate use.
When limits get cut overnight, the realistic reaction for most is to wait it out or use less, not spend double or triple.
Willingness to pay drops fast once you leave the top few percent of users.
Raising the price further or forcing upgrades will mostly shrink the base instead of fixing the economics.
A lower middle tier or more flexible options would keep far more people on the platform than expecting mass upgrades that most simply can’t afford.
It's wild how @elonmusk can tell everyone, “Try Grok Bot, you'll love it. We release dozens of updates every week and listen to feedback,” while admitting that the sudden usage wipeouts weren't actually a bug.
People woke up to find their weekly usage already at 100%, even though they had barely used Grokbot. Support treated it like a technical issue or simply told people to buy more credits. Then Elon came out to say that the cost of running Grok Bot was too high compared to the money it was making. That is an holy crap for me 😩😩
So, basically, it wasn't just a bug. They were limiting people's usage because the costs were becoming too high, but instead of explaining that clearly from the beginning, they left users confused.
That's what frustrates me the most. It's not that running powerful AI is expensive. We all understand that it costs money. It's the way the whole situation was handled. No clear warning, no proper explanation, and no honest communication when it happened. Just excuses and suggestions to buy more credits, followed by an explanation about costs after the damage was done.
Meanwhile, they're still promoting Grok Bot as if everything is perfectly fine.
I've always liked a lot of what Elon is building, but situations like this make it difficult to trust the product and the way things are communicated.
If the cost of running the service is becoming a problem, just be honest about it. Tell paying users what's happening and explain what is changing.
Don't make people think something is broken, only to come back later and explain that it was actually about the cost of running the service. That's not how you build trust with paying customers.
Try Grok @Bot! You will love it.
We land a few dozen fixes, features and sometimes powers to Bot 7 days a week and we look at your feedback to make Bot as perfect as possible.

What is happening with Grokbot @bot ? My usage was only at 50% this morning when I last checked. I left it at 50%, and I haven't been using any routines or running any automated tasks whatsoever. I simply wanted to open my Grok bot and use it, but to my surprise, I found that my usage had suddenly jumped to 100%.
How is that even possible? Why has my usage been completely exhausted when I haven't been running any routines or doing anything that should consume my quota?
I can no longer use Grok because of this, and honestly, I don't understand what is going on. Please, you guys need to address these issues and stop making things unnecessarily stressful for your users. It's becoming really frustrating and annoying.
I'm genuinely unhappy with this experience right now. Please look into this issue and provide an explanation. This is really not okay.

this is the most DANGEROUS thing on internet today
someone built an AI that reads candlestick charts the way GPT reads English & released it for 100% FREE
i just connected it to my TradingView setup with opus 5.5 & now my AI trading system reads every candle & predicts the next market move BEFORE it happens (ACCURATELY)
first understand how KRONOS works:
> LLMs like ChatGPT or Claude turn words into tokens & predict the next word
> Kronos turns every candle into tokens & predicts the NEXT CANDLE
> it is pre-trained on 12 BILLION candles
here is how to build the full system for FREE:
1. open Claude Code with Sonnet 5.5 and ask it to clone the Kronos repo and set everything up, it handles the install for you
2. now switch to opus 5.5 and give prompt to load Kronos-small from Hugging Face, it runs on any normal laptop (i am running on my MAC M5 pro)
3. it will pull the same candles you see on TradingView from Binance’s free public API, any coin, any timeframe, open, high, low and volume, no account needed
4. ask Opus 5.5 to feed Kronos the last 512 candles and predict the next 24, exactly like asking an LLM to finish a sentence
5. set sample_count to 100 so Kronos draws 100 possible futures instead of one guess, the spread between them shows how risky next move really is
6. let Opus read the market regime from those futures, most paths pointing the same way means TRENDING, paths scattered both ways means CHOPPY
7. have Opus turn the forecast and the regime into clear entry, exit and stop rules, then backtest them on a year of history with real fees and slippage
8. then plot Kronos’s predicted path next to real candles using TradingView’s free Lightweight Charts library & watch it for a few days before you trust it
9. paper trade it first, then let Opus wire up Telegram bot so your phone pings the moment a high confidence trending setup forms
