Don Durrett sees gold reaching $10,000 an ounce by the end of the decade, raising his prior $7,000 to $8,000 target after rising interest rates and government bond market intervention signaled growing fiscal strain. Near term, he expects gold to bottom in the $3,750 to $3,950 range before recovering above $4,500 by the end of the year. With the U.S. having gone 17 years without an economic downturn since 2009, he believes markets are overdue for a downcycle, conditions where gold historically thrives.

$HYMC - Hycroft Mining
Hycroft have bounced slightly over +25% off the lows. Im still -6.59% since i started loading up on HYMC on this brutal downleg. That's basically one green day away, then all those scale-ins can start looking for money making levels. What's positive is that #Silver hasnt even surpassed $52, so there is a lot of room for HYMC to run, even though I was -30% to early here. That's pretty crazy in this sector. This is one of the worst "early entries" i've taken since the covid crash. I usually catch the bottom entries of a cycle within around 10%. But I couldnt forsee that we were about to have one of the top 3 largest selloffs the past 50 years in the sector this time around.
Nevertheless. HYMC have shown world class strenght off the lows here, being a top 1% performer off the lows so far in its peer basket.
That was always expected, as it was one of the most oversold quality performers out there during the downleg.
Look at the weekly chart (#2) - There is A LOT of room for upside here.
Im still in the camp that we should atleast be able to reach $30-$40 zone before New Years, but it's a subject to the Iran war obviously. That war cant restart, then I suspect weakness will continue.
HYMC still needs +215%, give or take, to reach its January highs. They have over $200M in cash, have improved on the fundamental side and have appointed industry heavy names (best in the business) to advance the project further, all meanwhile continuing to hit massive high grade #Gold and #Silver. I believe HYMC will reach a new ATH around $90 #Silver, compared to $121 #silver when the last ATH was printed. A must own for the next bullrun, which I will consider started when the Iran mess is over.

This is what makes Brimstone so exciting! $HYMC is finding mineralization deeper in the system while expanding high-grade zones closer to surface. The potential feeder remains unconfirmed, but the geological picture keeps getting more interesting. Imagine what further drilling could uncover! 🌋 💎🙌

🌋 Hycroft's gold and silver are young by geology standards.
Dating of the mineral adularia puts the main mineralizing event at about 4 million years ago.

Here is a chart to ponder over the weekend.
Silver is trading almost 30% below its 200-day moving average.
The last time we saw similar levels was March 2020.
We are likely approaching another important inflection point for metals and mining.

Gold stocks are turning back up vs. the Mag 7 within a 6-year-long base dating to 2020.
They have a major positive divergence to Gold, which is a bullish signal by itself.
The last time the stock market peaked and began a secular bear market (2000), capital rotated first into gold stocks.
Too early to know if a repeat is coming but continue to be mindful of the relative strength in miners.

The U.S. DOLLAR could lose 75% of its purchasing power, and gold could QUADRUPLE in price.
🇺🇸 The U.S. DOLLAR could lose 75% of its purchasing power, and gold could QUADRUPLE in price.
Brandon Weichert spoke with legendary resource investor Rick Rule, who has spent more than 50 years navigating gold markets.
And Rick has a rather uncomfortable prediction for the next decade.
He believes America is heading toward another 1970s-style inflationary crisis, with the dollar potentially losing 75% of its purchasing power.
If he's right, gold could trade at THREE or FOUR TIMES its 2024 price.
But Rick isn't predicting a straight line upward. Higher interest rates could keep gold under pressure in the short term.
We also discussed the recent AI selloff, and Rick made an interesting point about Washington's growing appetite for regulation.
Restricting American data centers won't necessarily stop AI investment. It could simply push construction, and the demand for copper that comes with it, to China or the Gulf.
As for BRICS replacing the dollar? Rick isn't convinced.
He believes American financial dominance will weaken, but sees no credible replacement for the dollar anytime soon.
And his advice for ordinary investors was surprisingly straightforward.
Live below your means, build savings, own some physical gold and invest in your own skills before taking speculative risks.
Rick expects a difficult decade ahead, but he isn't betting against America's ability to recover.

While gold declines... money printing has reaccelerated.
None of the fundamentals that drove gold to record highs have reversed.
If anything, they've become even stronger.
- Central banks are still net buyers of gold.
- Global debt levels remain unsustainable.
- Government deficits continue to surge.
This war is reinforcing all of those trends.
Rather than risk the bond market, policymakers will sacrifice the currency through inflation.
This gold bull market is far from over.
