📣 Congratulations to our Valedictorian Andrew Yang and Salutatorian Jennifer Oettinger! 🎓
Andrew, an applied physics and applied mathematics major, does the majority of his research with professor Simon Billinge on designing techniques and programs to probe changes in material structure from high-throughput diffraction data. He does outreach in his free time, teaching computer-aided design to local high-schoolers through the SHAPE program.
Jennifer, a computer science major, has exemplified leadership, serving as vice president of the Women in Computer Science (WiCS) club. She has spent summers interning at the Mayo Clinic and Apple, where she has explored how artificial intelligence can reduce error and optimize critical workflows.
Both embody Columbia Engineering's spirit of innovation and excellence. Join us in celebrating their achievements at Class Day! ⚒️
