No, I think you misunderstood, I am saying (and I think Lichtman is saying the same) formalization of all of mathematics is impossible given Gödel. Dejavu in the fact that mathematicians once thought that all of mathematics could be formalized, but can’t.

The time is now to formalize all mathematics

😂 I caught that. Nice! This is the same thing I have been saying: it’s dejavu.

Imagine being so epic in general (not necessarily reflected this season) that non-rivals lose sleep over you. Hook’em!
I know this is AI but why the hate against my fellow Indian brothers and sisters? If you support this racist mess unfollow me please. We will definitely not get along.
Getting ready to board my flight to Austin. Anything worth noticing? #awaygame #donotredeemit

Please apply for the MathAndCobb Fund for Mathematical Exploration! (MaC Fund for ME)
Every few months I give away about ~$250 from my content creator funds to someone pursuing some mathematical goal. You can find the rules and how to apply at the link. Next deadline is Nov. 15th.

The avengers we needed.
A new NPR investigation has found a troubling problem in AI-generated mathematics.
Cambridge mathematician Anders Hansen identified a discrepancy between an AI-generated proof and its Lean formalization.
A constant had changed from 4 to 5, making the formally verified statement weaker than the original claim.
The Lean verification itself was not necessarily incorrect. The concern is that it may have verified something different from what the original mathematical argument asserted.
The report also features Daniel Litt, who identified an error invalidating a separate AI-generated paper, and Dana Moshkovitz, who discusses a proposed solution to the Unique Games Conjecture.
The investigation highlights a distinction that is becoming increasingly important: verifying a formal proof is not enough unless the formal statement faithfully represents the intended theorem.

I think it was Einstein that said something like “ I don’t know how WW3 will be fought but I know WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones.” So I say I don’t know how Math 2 will go but Math 3 might be done with notches on bones. 😂

I mean the points are bad takes: GR is not fundamentally correct? Wow. Tell that to all of the experiments (some Nobel prize producing) that say it is.
