Dolores Huerta was a hero of mine. When she co-founded the National Farm Workers Association in 1962, people thought Dolores was crazy. “How are you going to organize farm workers,” she remembered being asked. "They are poor, powerless immigrants.” But that’s exactly what she did, helping thousands of migrant laborers working in brutal conditions make their voices heard, and demand something better. Dolores spent the rest of her life fighting for marginalized communities, even as she herself faced sexism and abuse — including, as she revealed earlier this year, from Cesar Chavez and others within her own movement. She also came up with a pretty good slogan, “Si, se puede” — Yes, we can — that I too often get credit for. But as usual, Dolores got there first. Michelle and I are thinking of Dolores’s family, the people whose lives she changed, and everyone who drew inspiration from her example. Photo credit: National Archives, Obama Presidential Library

RSVP'd for a Bottoms/Ossoff rally tonight with Obama, but they didn't tell me where it was until this morning. It's an hour and a half from work and another hour to get home! You gotta work hard to hold an event in ATL that's so far from both my home & work! (1 hr=my commute)

To be clear - THIS cycle, @Senate_Fund spent nearly $500k to secure a Green Party candidate who lives in AZ to run in AK. And in '24 AK GOP recruited a prisoner w/ no ties to AK and w/ a NY address to run against Peltola. The AK GOP took legal action to keep him on the ballot.

Peltola’s former campaign manager, fired this summer, goes on record to the NYTs to say that the Dems worked to get another Dan Sullivan on the ballot. ...And then subsequently tries to retract her statements. nytimes.com/2026/10/28/us/po…

Rest in power, legend. Thank you for all you did, in the face of horrific treatment by your own "allies." Thank you for your courage.
The United Farm Workers union mourns the passing and celebrates the life of UFW cofounder Dolores Huerta. The greatest possible tribute to her life is for her work of organizing to continue. 1/

Bloomberg: "A new anxiety is gripping Wall Street as it bankrolls the vast network of data centers and chips behind the artificial intelligence boom: Early signs suggest that the credit market is approaching the limits of how much more debt it can absorb. One after another, yields are soaring into the double digits on bonds and loans funding the AI infrastructure buildout. Bankers are finding it more difficult to offload risk to insurers and other investors." #economy #markets #debt #ai #ArtificialIntelligence #bonds

Standing in line to vote. Not that that means anything necessarily. I had to stand in a long line to early vote in 2024 in my very blue party of Cobb County, too.

Noah Wyle speaks out on being named People's Sexiest Man Alive: “I thought that sounded like a prank — just not in a million years did I think that this would be an honor bestowed on me. I hope this changes everything. I hope it’s just wine and roses, milk and honey from here on out. [Laughs] No, I don’t, but I am going to take a lot of ribbing from friends and family for sure... I was so hoping today was going to be the day. ‘Look at you. You’re the Sexiest Man Alive. Finally you can be comfortable in your own skin.’ Not yet. I like being in other people’s skin. I like putting on characters. I get self-conscious. It’s still the hardest kind of interaction for me, speaking without a script as myself." (via People_ variety.com/2026/tv/news/noa…
