America was such bitch on Friday and now expects us to attend her birthday party on Tuesday? I don't think so, sweetie.

the richest man in the world should not be so online. it’s unbecoming. JP Morgan once took a boat to Egypt because he wanted to sleep in a tomb to imagine what it’s like to be a dead Pharaoh. that’s what rich people should be doing. not tweeting about NYT movie lists. yuck.

I see that the protracted goodbye is uncomfortable for some of you. But as a midwesterner, I am prepared to stand in the doorway and raise new topics of conversation until they turn the lights off. 👋👋

Leave Twitter just because it’s fallen into disrepair under terrible leadership? But peeps I work in museums. 🤓

Here is the thing: yes, I do a lot of ~museum talking~ here on twitter; no, I will absolutely not join a dedicated museum worker social media network. Museum people always trying to make everything into homework.

At this point it's okay to openly wonder if the Art Museum's administrators have actually spent any time in Philadelphia

When I don't renew my @artinstitutechi membership for the first time, it's because AIC desecrated "Untitled" (Portrait of Ross in L.A.) by Felix Gonzalez-Torres. The erasure of Ross's memory and Gonzalez-Torres's intent in the new description is an unconsciable and banal evil.

The Gabriel Garcia Marquez Library just opened in a working class neighborhood in Barcelona. It’s magical. It’s real. And it’s the kind of place that makes you wonder why every city doesn’t give its residents palaces for the people. #library

On the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina (8/29), I’m reminded of not only the destruction of my home and community, but also that the experience radicalized me. I was 17 at the time. These events below, personally and systemic, shook my worldview.

Our style: Don't use the pronoun "she" in reference to nations, ships, storms or voice assistants except in direct quotations. Use "it" instead.

As the mother of a daughter who is disabled, I’d just like to remind you that not all of our children can “run for their lives.” As per usual, the most vulnerable are the most vulnerable. 1/6
