Today, the prosecution presented another video which was played in court. Earlier, the court had moved to a different courtroom, saying the technical equipments in the previous room where sessions have been held since the trial began were faulty. The move was intended to allow the videos to play more smoothly, and while the video played well, the sound was still faulty and it remains very difficult to hear any words.
The clip, which is over 2 hours and 45 minutes long, shows two black men whom state witness Andrew Wilson Orlando claims are Dr. @kizzabesigye1 and Joel Wakayima. According to the witness, Wakayima is the one who first contacted him about a plot to overthrow the Ugandan government and assassinate President @KagutaMuseveni. The clip also shows a white man whom the prosecution identifies as Andrew Wilson Orlando himself, the state's first witness, in a meeting where they were allegedly plotting how to execute the plan.
Tomorrow, the state has promised to play another audio clip that is 2 hours and 49 minutes long.

📢 PETITION UPDATE | Ref: E/P/5010/28-26.
Today on 28 Oct 2026, Buganda Yiyo Buganda Yange ( @BugandYiyoYange), we have formally petitioned.
▪️ Hon. Akello Rose Lilly, Min. of State for Ethics & Integrity.
▪️ Rt. Hon. Justine Kasule Lumumba, Min. for ICT & National Guidance.
▪️ Dr. George William Nyombi Thembo, ED, UCC
▪️ Mr. Abbas Byakagaba, IGP.
All offices have stamped RECEIVED (29 Oct 2026). 📬
Our position is simple. The Kabaka cannot respond to online provocation, so his loyal subjects speak out for him.
We stand by every point in the petition:
1️⃣ The Kabaka has never harmed or provoked anyone.
2️⃣ Millions of Baganda and well-wishers on TikTok, X, Facebook and WhatsApp are hurting.
3️⃣ Claims of "mental instability" or "entertainment" don't excuse a consistent, targeted pattern.
4️⃣ Free speech was meant to build dialogue, not to humiliate and desecrate cultural heritage.
🔔 OUR ASK OF EACH OFFICE.
🔹 UCC: Issue a regulatory directive to block, suspend and take down the accounts and channels used by Ibrahim Musana ("Pressure 24/7") to stream the content complained of, and enforce platform compliance standards.
🔹 Police (IGP): Act within your statutory mandate on the content complained of.
🔹 Min. for ICT & National Guidance: Provide policy and regulatory direction on this matter.
🔹 Min. for Ethics & Integrity: Uphold the moral and cultural standards the public expects of digital spaces.
⏭️ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.
We'll follow up with every office for a written response. We will keep our community informed of each step, and we ask supporters to stay peaceful, respectful and lawful. Our weapon is dignity, not retaliation.
We ask for the institutions to act.

The Ministry of Health has launched medical drone services to strengthen healthcare delivery in the hard-to-reach communities of Buvuma and Kalangala.
The drones will transport medical samples, medicines and emergency supplies, carrying up to 15kg per trip and completing the journey from Butabika to the islands in approximately 40 minutes, reducing reliance on slower water transport. @MinofHealthUG

Cabinet Decisions from the sitting of 26th October, 2026
Cabinet reversed the proposal to develop Constitutional Square (City Square). Site retains its protected legal status. The square is a protected heritage site since 2007 under the Museums and Monuments Act 2023 and Heritage instrument 2024.
Cabinet approved additional 6 acres for the UN Regional Service Center in Entebbe. Established in 2010, the center provides finance, HR, logistics and ICT support to UN missions globally.
Cabinet also approved Uganda’s National Report for the 4th Cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) to the UN Human Rights Council.
In this report, we look at Progress, challenges, and recommendations. The areas covered include human rights, access to justice, women and children protection, refugee protection, education, health and climate.
Approval doesn’t mean all challenges are solved but rather presenting our record, progress and gaps transparently for peer review.
