Viktigast rörande detta är den ryska överklassen. De välbeställda som skidsemestrar i Alperna, har villor vid Rivieran eller Lac Como, eller lägenheter i Paris och London.
Det är de som måste blockeras.

I have legit spent the whole day laughing about the Australian Human Rights Commission engaging a “communications consultant” to help them answer senate estimate questions, only to humiliate themselves by saying men who claim to be women need breastfeeding protections in law.
You have to laugh or we will lose our minds over this insanity of all this.

Last night SDC Anna Cody told Senate Estimates breastfeeding protections for women extend to “induced lactation in a biological male”. That’s despite her telling a previous hearing she didn’t understand the term “biological male”. theaustralian.com.au/nation/…

More Australian 🇦🇺 taxpayers money wasted. “Sex Discrimination Commissioner Anna Cody on Monday at Senate estimates said that protections designed to protect breastfeeding women from being discriminated against would also extend toiinduced lactation in a biological male".

Glenna did an unusual thing that people typically don't do: she checked a citation in a law review article to see whether the citation said what the authors claimed it did.
She found that the citation said the opposite of what the authors claimed it did.
She then asked the editor of the law review for a correction.
The editor did not reply to the request.
She then asked the authors for comment on the incorrect citation.
The authors acknowledged that the citation was erroneous and regretted the error.
The authors then insisted that the citation did not matter to their actual argument because nothing in their argument depended on the citation being right.
Glenna then wrote a post explaining why the erroneous citation was in fact important to their actual argument, and why the erroneous citation also exposed a wider ignorance of the subject on which the authors were writing. (She claims, convincingly, that it's important to know what sex is in order to understand what sex discrimination is, and that being able to define what sex is is an inextricable aspect of knowing what sex is.)
I consulted with some lawyer friends in a chat group who helpfully explained to me that no one ever reads footnotes, no one checks the underlying references, and no one cares if they are correct or not because law review articles like the one Murray and Shaw published are merely political advocacy masquerading as legal scholarship that no one reads, and therefore not to expect the Supreme Court Review to issue a correction for a citation that the authors are on the record admitting was erroneous.
Do I have all that right, @williambaude?

The beatings started three months after the wedding and continued for thirty-three years. Emma Gatewood’s husband broke her teeth, cracked her ribs, and beat her sometimes ten times in a single year. At a time when a husband’s violence against his wife was rarely questioned, her refuge was always the same: she would escape to the woods surrounding their farm. She often brought her children with her, teaching them to identify birds and medicinal plants.
In 1939, after her husband broke her teeth and cracked one of her ribs, Gatewood fought back by throwing a sack of flour at him and a sheriff’s deputy arrested her. The mayor of the small West Virginia town saw her battered face and helped her find safety. After thirty-three years she received a divorce and raised her last three children alone.
After reading a National Geographic article in 1949 she became intrigued by the idea that no woman had hiked the full Appalachian Trail solo. “If those men can do it, I can do it,” she said. The hike was more difficult than she expected. Much of the trail was in disrepair. She kept up a pace of 14 miles a day. In 1955, after hiking for 146 days, she became the first woman to complete the entire trail by herself in one season. She returned in 1957 and again in 1964 at the age of 76, becoming the first person to hike the AT three times.
Her feats raised public awareness of the trail. Her descriptions of the poor conditions prompted improvements. She is considered a pioneer of ultralight backpacking. She advised picking up food at local groceries and making a simple rain cape and sling bag. Emma Gatewood walked into the forest to escape from violence, but she walked out of it to make history. “I would never have started this trip if I had known how tough it was, but I couldn’t and I wouldn’t quit.”

The influential transgender activist Substacker Erin Reed has demanded that her 132,000 subscribers not vote for four Democratic candidates who had come out against tenets of trans activism, including Josh Turek, for Senate in Iowa, and in the House, Marcy Kaptur in Ohio, Kathy Castor in Florida, and Henry Cuellar in Texas.
All these candidates are running in competitive races that, in the Senate in particular, could decide the balance of power in Congress. Transgender activists such as Reed have sought to hold the line and see to it that Democrats who defy their wishes are punished so as to ensure that the Democratic party at large will continue to serve as a firewall.

🚨Today, Texas Children’s Hospital has officially launched their Detransition Clinic 🚨
Under the settlement, TCH must provide multidisciplinary detransition-related care FREE OF CHARGE for five years, including endocrinology, surgery, primary care, fertility counseling, mental health services, social work, and speech pathology.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude once again to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and my attorneys at the Burke Law Group for their extraordinary dedication, sacrifice, and tireless efforts throughout this fight. Their commitment helped turn a painful and difficult chapter into an opportunity for meaningful change. @KenPaxtonTX @BurkeLawTweets
I think of all the detransitioners who have suffered in silence, been dismissed, and fought desperately to have their voices heard. This win is for them.
I hope TCH’s admirable effort to fund and launch Americas first detransition clinic becomes a turning point for the entire country. That this clinic is not the exception, but the first of many.
Today’s a good day. ❤️
