#EPP
🇬🇧⚡ THE BIGGER #EPP MESH INVESTMENT THESIS
The UK is undergoing one of the biggest transformations of its energy system in generations.
But there’s a fundamental problem:
Britain doesn’t just need MORE renewable electricity, it needs somewhere to STORE enormous quantities of energy when generation exceeds demand, then return it when the system needs it.
That’s why I believe EnergyPathways’ MESH project deserves attention.
MESH isn’t simply another short-duration battery.
It potentially brings together:
🌬️ Offshore Wind
🔋 Long Duration Energy Storage
💨 Compressed Air Energy Storage
🔥 Large-scale Gas Storage
🟢 Hydrogen Storage
⚡ Grid Infrastructure
🧂 Offshore Salt Caverns
All centred around a potentially enormous geological storage resource beneath the East Irish Sea.
🚨 AND NOW JACOBS $J JOINS THE TEAM
EnergyPathways has selected global engineering heavyweight Jacobs to provide planning, regulatory, consenting and environmental services.
Importantly, Jacobs will assist #EPP with its submission into Ofgem’s forthcoming LDES Cap & Floor round.
Jacobs will also support:
🏛️ Cap & Floor
📑 DCO / consenting
⚡ Grid connection
🤝 Stakeholder engagement
🏭 Regional economic & supply-chain assessments
This isn’t simply another partner announcement.
Jacobs is helping #EPP navigate the pathway towards some of MESH’s most important regulatory and financing milestones.
🔋 THE SCALE
MESH LDES is targeting:
⚡ 300MW
🔋 ~55GWh
⏳ 100+ HOURS
Potentially making it the UK’s largest LDES project.
Why does Britain need this?
More offshore wind means periods where huge amounts of electricity are generated but cannot efficiently be absorbed by the grid.
🌬️ Surplus wind
⬇️
❌ Curtailment
⬇️
💷 System costs
But when wind falls:
🌬️📉 Low renewable generation
📈 High demand
⬇️
⚡ Dispatchable power required
LDES bridges that gap:
🌬️ GENERATE → 🔋 STORE → ⚡ DISPATCH
And MESH is targeting DAYS of storage rather than merely hours.
🧂 BUT THE BIGGER OPPORTUNITY COULD BE THE GEOLOGY
MESH potentially envisages up to 60 salt caverns.
That creates the possibility of THREE major storage markets from one strategic geological hub:
🔋 CAES / LDES
🔥 NATURAL GAS
🟢 HYDROGEN
The proposed gas-storage scale alone is substantial:
🔥 ~600M THERMS
⚡ ~17TWh stored energy
🚀 ~2M therms/day potential deliverability
🇬🇧 MASSIVE ENERGY STORAGE.
That’s why I don’t view #EPP simply as a CAES story.
MESH potentially represents something much bigger:
🧂 A MULTI-ENERGY STORAGE HUB OF NATIONAL STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE.
🌬️ Store the wind.
🔥 Secure the gas.
🟢 Enable the hydrogen future.
🇬🇧 Strengthen Britain’s energy security.
Jacobs joining the team is another significant piece of that puzzle.
The next few catalysts could be very interesting indeed. 👀⚡

Many thanks to Kamal Abudu and the team at @Siemens_Energy for showcasing #EPP EnergyPathways MESH compressed air energy storage (CAES) project at this year's Energy Exemplar #XcelerateLondon2026 conference.
Together, EnergyPathways and Siemens Energy are combining our expertise to advance MESH — a project designed to strengthen grid resilience, bolster UK energy security and help put downward pressure on consumer bills as the energy transition accelerates.
With recent NESO Electricity Margin Notices (EMNs) and forecasts of rising renewable curtailment costs, the need for long-duration energy storage (LDES) has never been clearer.
At EnergyPathways, LDES is what we do.
EnergyPathways plans to build a network of up to 60 underground caverns filled with compressed air, creating what is expected to be the UK's largest long-duration energy storage facility. Its game-changing advantage is duration: the project is designed to store energy at scale and provide continuous, dispatchable power for more than seven days. By comparison, most battery energy storage systems are designed to discharge for only a few hours.
When fully developed, MESH could deliver up to 3GW of flexible low-carbon power — enough to supply almost one-third of UK homes.
As part of the future UK energy system, MESH can offer homegrown, flexible and affordable energy to reduce our reliance on expensive gas-fired power and help lower electricity bills, and importantly, it can help shore up the UK grid system at times of extreme stress.

EnergyPathways #EPP is pleased to announce the formal acceptance and award of a Gas Storage License by the North Sea Transition Authority, marking a significant milestone in advancing the MESH Project.
The Company has also commenced the Licence work programme and is planning an extensive survey in the East Irish Sea that will provide data to develop both the environmental, geological and seabed aspects of MESH. The survey results will underpin regulatory, engineering and subsurface workstreams as the Company progresses towards the next phase of development.
The Licence spans a vast offshore area that could support the construction of up to 60 large-scale salt storage caverns, with the potential for multi-terawatt-hour scale integrated energy storage, and over 7 days duration.
The MESH Project has been designated by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero as a project of "national significance", and will comprise compressed air energy storage (CAES), natural gas storage transitioning to hydrogen storage and complementary hydrogen production for clean power and sustainable hydrogen industry uses.
In addition, the company welcomes last week’s announcement by Ofgem, marking a major milestone in the development of the UK’s LDES market. With the Gas Storage Licence awarded, the Company is gearing up to enter its LDES CAES project into Ofgem’s second window of the cap and floor scheme.
Ben Clube, CEO of EnergyPathways, said:
"EnergyPathways continues to advance the LDES element of the MESH Project, which will be the UK’s largest LDES facility. Given its ability to supply multi-day duration power – as opposed to batteries which run out after a couple of hours - the Directors believe it is uniquely positioned to make a significant contribution to reducing the UK’s heavy reliance on expensive gas power generation and lowering electricity prices.”

100% agree - slow drift on very low volume. Market makers making 💰shaking out weak hands. Market psychology playing out.
Price action is clear - mean reversion to 50 day MA.
If anyone wants a sense of what's ahead for #EPP ->

#EPP I am no AIM expert. In fact, if my track record is anything to go by, AIM stocks have probably been my least profitable trades.
That said, I do understand market psychology.
Today's intra-day drop is so far on relatively light volume. To me, that looks less like aggressive selling and more like a classic shakeout designed to test conviction and flush out weak holders.
If that's what's happening, don't be surprised to see the price recover quickly. When? Maybe Monday.
Market makers can be crafty buggers.
