Built a cost calculator into the new CostGraph website, answers the main question I get asked a lot,
"How much does this cost?"

The product you are building with AI is very generic for you to be using a Paid AI model
The most basic and free coding models out there can build the very regular day to day apps that we use. I mean all the regular day to day apps. with no issue
No need to pay

Just a few years ago, management could comfortably wait out a two-week sprint to get a feature shipped.
Today, there’s growing impatience when a feature takes more than 24 hours to deliver. 🥲
The pressure on software engineers right now is crazy, and I don’t think we’re talking about it enough.
I can barely get two sentences into explaining my implementation plan before someone interrupts with:
“Just give it to Claude to do!”
“Sir, we need to think about…”
“That’s what Claude is there for. Let it do the heavy lifting!”
A task gets assigned, and barely 10 minutes later:
“Why is it taking so long? Aren’t you using Claude properly? This should take a minute or two!”
Somehow, the existence of AI has created this assumption that software engineering is now just a matter of writing a prompt and watching features magically appear.
Nobody wants to hear about architecture, edge cases, testing, security, or the implications of a poorly thought-out implementation.
Just ship it. And ship it NOW.
AI has become both a blessing and a curse.
Something I genuinely expected to reduce my workload has instead increased it. The productivity gains are real, but so are the expectations that come with them.
We’ve made development faster, but somehow, we’ve also made every delivery feel slower.
And that’s the irony nobody seems to be talking about.
Omo mehn, I’m just exhausted, might as well just resign, but it seems it’s the same everywhere😪

Added a bit of interactions in @figma today… Been there all day.
This is just for show my partner has all interactions covered via code, it’s exhilarating 🤩
What have you guys been up to today? The weekend’s near 🌚
Top off the morning 🫠
Shaping the multiple view experience for projects showcasing. Fun fact my friend’s a Design Engineer & he’s really good at interaction design @walebuilds_
He can create any crazy interactions i come up with and even more so I have no restraints 😂👌👇👇

Your AI coding agent needs design references, not another 500-word prompt.
So I built Styles Library.
→ Explore real website designs
→ Find colors, typography & layouts
→ Connect MCP to your AI coding tool
→ Build with actual design references
Works with Codex, Claude, Cursor & more.
Give your AI better design taste & direction.

Routine 0.1.3 checks for updates itself now (Sparkle).
Three releases in one Sunday showed me that asking people to download a fresh copy each time isn't a release process.

Time to put this to test!😁
I've gone through all the suggestions and learned a couple of things, so here's my takeaway strategy:
The plan:
1. Buy VPS from Hetzner (I have no idea 😂)
2. Install/connect it to Coolify (I have no idea)
3. Deploy my Next.js app (frontend + backend) (I have no idea)
4. Deploy PostgreSQL → migrate data from Neon (I'm good at this 😃)
5. Deploy Redis → replace Upstash (I have no idea)
6. Deploy ClickHouse → replace ClickHouse Cloud (I have no idea)
7. Configure domains/SSL (I'm good at this)
8. Put Cloudflare in front (I'm good at this)
9. Configure off-server automated backups (I have no idea)
10. Set up monitoring/alerts (I have no idea)
11. Test restoring everything from backup (I have no idea)
12. Run the new setup alongside my current infrastructure (I'm good at this)
13. Switch traffic only after I'm confident (I'm good at this)
So basically, I know what I want to build. I just apparently need to learn how to run the thing 😂

A few people have been asking how I was able to build my portfolio. ☺️
So, I made a video showing how I went from designing in Figma → building with Claude Code → pushing to GitHub → deploying
on Vercel.☺️🤲🏼

Tired of fares changing on you mid-trip? 😩
We're building GoBYE, a ride app where you agree your fare before you move. No surprises.
Launching soon in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt. Be one of the first in line:

As you invite more agents to our work, and create software factories to be more productive than ever, you’ll soon outsource everything to an agent, even the thinking.
The work you will do will feel frictionless, it will feel amazing on the surface, but once you go a bit deeper, it’ll feel extremely shallow. It won’t reflect the struggles you went through, your decisions, and ideas.
It will no longer remind you of you and the work you aspire to.
You will turn into just another extremely efficient producer of things, but not a creator like you were before.
Invite friction to your work.
