Im in Aerospace, just my perspective.. about todays plane crash in Florida. Icing and moderate turbulence lead to a phenomenon called Mach tuck. It is common in Learjet 60’s and older Learjet’s. Essentially, you exceed the maximum airspeed at altitude and it is unrecoverable to the point that you continue to speed up while not being able to produce lift with your wings. Further description: your coefficient of lift eventually moves too far behind the wing making it impossible to produce lift, this causes the aircraft to lose altitude like a falling dart, in turn gaining airspeed and crashing. All Pilots are aware of this, some just push too close to the maximum speed threshold, and when you experience clear air turbulence or other factors like icing that would push you too far past the maximum speed threshold without the capability to control the wing normally, this happens. Long story short...icing changes the shape of the wing critically and adds weight to plane (double whammy, but mainly airflow issue over the wing), Learjets are vulnerable to over speed situations because of the type of wing is small, sleek, and unforgiving in the name of efficiency and performance, mix all of that together with moderate turbulence which can fluctuate your airspeed, this causes the aircraft to enter Mach tuck over speed condition. The result is a lawn dart scenario that you see here. Very sad.

Here's one job. 90.5% margin, and we haven't even invoiced all of it. A junior dev with an LLM who's working on real business problems will beat a senior dev with an LLM who isn't connected to the domain. Every time. Internal apps only have to work well enough to solve the company's problem. Most software vendors miss that. The fundamentals start with understanding the business, not memorizing algorithms or knowing when to step into a function versus step over it in a debugger. A creative, disciplined junior dev with a big token budget is worth their weight in gold. I'd take one over a senior dev stuck in their ways any day. That's part of why we're building Mutiny at our firm. Integrated agentic drawing creation and revisions are the next big revenue unlock for us, and we win when our industry partners can scale the same way. So open sourcing the BIM part made sense. Plus, a little spite from the Autodesk audit email I got a couple weeks ago.

True story
Turns out human slop was 1,000x worse than AI slop.

its true, Anthropic really vibecoded their entire backend to Rust and none of you noticed
Anthropic rewrote its Messages API in Rust. Zero Rust devs on the team. Claude wrote the code. Humans wrote the plan and checked old vs new matched on real traffic. CPU dropped 40-50%. Pretty sure "never do the big rewrite" is dead advice. @katelyn_lesse on @latentspacepod

Two weeks ago, we got an audit notice from Autodesk. That same day, we started building Mutiny BIM, so we could give it away and no one would have to worry about the CAD police again. The quoted post was day one. This screenshot is day 14. What will day 30 look like? Some people in the comments told me, "You signed up for the software. Audits are part of the industry. Get used to it." We don't need to get used to being treated like criminals by our own vendors. The leverage has changed and everyone needs to adapt and understand their position in the negotiation. We're building what legacy Revit never could, and something Autodesk would never license even if it could. And we're looking for founding contributors. Comment if you're interested.

Windows Copilot was so terrible it might very well have seeded the AI opposition we now see among normies. Useless functionality, hyped to the moon, and a dumb key on every keyboard that did nothing worthwhile. youtube.com/watch?v=erRVsllM…

THE CEASEFIRE HAS COMMENCED The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took effect at 4:00am Moscow time on October 27, 2026.    Timing was accelerated two days ahead of schedule to protect the safety of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of critical humanitarian aid. The ceasefire’s geographic area has expanded beyond Oleshky, within the Kherson Region, to provide safe passage for the humanitarian convoys.       General Valery Gerasimov, Joint Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has confirmed.

Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

Ok, I just checked this, and its literally running a freaking TensorFlow Lite model on 960×540 images with INT8 quantization every couple of seconds in an attempt to figure out what game you are playing. It's literally called "alex.tflite" and its literally AlexNet and seems to follow torchvision.models.alexnet. As far as I can tell this does some strange nearest neighbor feature comparisons against a DB and literally doesn't work 99% of the time, you love to see your CPU get wasted every other second by this thing though. It also just seems to dump its results into the void because the consent gate comes later. Anyways, here's the tf model graph and some dumped captures.

Framtiden för SaaS.
Our small business (an MEP firm) built an AI harness for our engineers. Now it's good enough that we're using cloud agents to improve the harness itself. We created Mutiny BIM inside that platform because Autodesk couldn't support our goal: 100% vibe-drawn engineering plans by Q2 2027. We also plan to open-source the BIM portion. Imagine a building owner prompting permit drawings into existence, or a contractor requesting a ductwork revision and seeing it update in real time. Or getting their own revision sketches by riffing with their Grok Bot or Dot or Muse. Licensed engineers remain involved to validate designs, answer questions, and take responsibility for stamped drawings. No more waiting weeks for RFIs and drawing revisions. Genuinely hard to believe how fast this all is happening for our business @PermitZIP and what small companies are able to create for themselves now. #MutinyBIM
