Now I have done the formalities. I will be leaving @Southern_NHSFT in 8 weeks to begin a new role within @HantsPolice as a Wellbeing Support Caseworker. Working with Police Officers, bringing my #OccupationalTherapist skills to the table and building the role from the ground up!

When I tried taking my own life it was never bc I wanted to die. I had this realisation that it was bc I was is in so much emotional pain that all I wanted was for the pain to end. All I wanted was to feel like I could breathe again. But what I have learnt is… pain is temporary.
Baby update - being a mum is a challenging new role for me but it’s also an amazing one. I’ve never felt a love like it ❤️ Having to learn how to readjust to life with a baby in tow and a lot less sleep! Getting there 😌
Baby Boy Oliver arrived a little early on 28th July. Weighing 6lbs 6ozs - we are now at home and doing well, adjusting to life as parents! 💙

Officially on Maternity leave this week. 4 weeks to go! I have some exciting OT events coming up later this year but otherwise I’ll generally be off the grid adjusting to becoming a Mum. Pregnancy in this heat is not fun though! #OccupationalTherapist #MaternityLeave
Reviewing client feedback surveys and smiling widely! Keywords such as; empowerment, understanding, supportive, valuable, holistic, recovery. Many said they wouldn’t have been at work if it wasn’t for us #Wellbeing #OccupationalTherapist
- No negative feedback as such. All urging people to continue funding our service and to ‘clone us’ ~ I set this service up from a basic framework and this really is so validating that I am making the difference I set out to make, along with my colleague Jenny 😍 #OT

I’ve said this for a while, we shouldn’t be called ‘Emergency Response Patrol Teams’, we should be called ‘Risk Management & Safeguarding Teams.’
I have no issue going to mental health calls, but to suggest we’re trained is daft & a lie. We are literally given a power point. 🤷🏼♂️🚨
Calling #OccupationalTherapist colleagues! I am rubbish at following my own advice, so help a girl out? I’m very much exhausted at 27 weeks pregnant and cannot maintain my occupational balance and maintaining momentum at work. What would we recommend?
