This is far from over but to see so many people come out against tyranny today is a massive injection of hope into my soul.
Cannot stress enough, however much you think your vote “doesn’t” count, it does. Democracy works best the more people are involved. Tyranny wants placated, apathetic individuals who don’t participate.
It feels like people who seek out authority clearly have a mental disease that should prevent them from holding these positions. A manager should be fighting for their employees. Having high turnover is also counter active to business profits.
A land invasion of Iran would the largest military failure since Vietnam. At least post 9/11 there was some semblance of a narrative around justice. With Iran it’s an old fool’s narcissistic ambitions. And no one appears to care to stop him.
BREAKING: The U.S. Army announced that is now training soldiers in North Carolina to dig mass battlefield graves for American troops for the first time in decades, rehearsing how to handle mass casualties as Trump's war on Iran is near. The Army says it hasn't needed to do this on a large scale since the Korean War.
If Nick Fuentes was an edgy progressive the world would unironically be a little better off but instead he’s made this weird bed with conservatives who he doesn’t even like which is wild given his last name is Fuentes and he’s two shades away from ICE grabbing him off the street.
Americans are pathetic because they should be blocking the construction workers and contract workers and dismantling their equipment. And local PD should be arresting the workers given they’re performing illegal work.
Disney and Skydance will merge in 2040 and become DisneyDance and we’ll get The Avengers versus The Justice League.
Making executions a common thing people see in their day to day and turning it into a spectacle is typically very bad for a society that wants to minimize death in general. You do not want people outside of say EMS, doctors, and police witnessing it regularly. Desensitizing to us
A large part of this is because people simply do not engage with art outside of “it should entertain me and if it doesn’t, it’s bad.” Our populace is becoming more illiterate by the day and this breeds a complacency towards those in power.
Human history leans towards tyranny of the masses by the few. The last few hundred years of semi decent Democracy is a fluke. People don’t like sacrifice. They want stability, even if it’s shitty.
Digger’s ending shows us what is going to be our reality and dares us to prevent it, knowing full well we probably won’t because of the events of the film. But it wants us to. It is a call to action on deaf ears it hopes may finally be able to hear.
Type of movie that is daring the masses to make drastic change through violent means but knows we’re all to weak to do it so will cheer at the farcical retribution we get to enact through action figures instead.
DIGGER SPOILERS
The movie is warning us that tech CEOs are the modern age oil tycoons. We have already passed the threshold where we will live through apocalyptic climate scenarios. Are we brave enough to stop the techno apocalypse to follow?
Digger feels like the type of movie that could release before the world literally explodes. Like, there may be no more commentary. This is it. This is the end of the creative well.
