In case you missed it: XAO DAO is now voting on whether to put 80% of its XRP treasury to work through FXRP and Firelight. That is a significant event imo. A key XRP-focused DAO is considering using Flare to make its treasury programmable: XRP becomes FXRP through FAssets, then can provide cover capital through Firelight while keeping XRP exposure. Exciting times.

Staking is about to flip delegation, do you know what happens next?
More $FLR is moving into stake. 22.7B staked. 23.9B delegated. Since FIP.16, stake carries more weight than delegation. That’s more $FLR being staked than ever. See it for yourself → dune.com/flare/tokenomics

In 7 days, Firelight brings a verifiable protection layer to DeFi: transparent terms for defined protocol failures, with capital you can verify on-chain. Early protocol emissions will follow shortly after launch.

Four months after FIP.16, you can watch the $FLR redesign in one place. @DefiLlama just listed a @defillama_res-vetted investor relations dashboard for Flare. Issuance, burns, staking, and protocol fees routing to FIRE toward burns and buybacks.

Staking has been climbing fast since FIP.16 passed. 16B+ FLR staked in July. Through 19B now. 20B is the next mark. The shift: staking is now 42% of all staked-or-delegated FLR. More locked supply means more stable validator economics — by design. → dune.com/flare/tokenomics

This is something we have been working towards for a while. A lending market for RLUSD collateralised by FXRP, curated by one of the most trusted institutional curators in the industry @SentoraHQ. This opens the door for much larger FXRP lending markets and for institutions that holds Billions of XRP to participate. Good for XRP. Good for RLUSD. Good for Flare.
XRP now has institutional credit rails on Ethereum mainnet, enabled by @FlareNetworks. FXRP is live as collateral in @SentoraHQ's RLUSD vault on @Morpho — supply FXRP, borrow RLUSD, permissionlessly. A milestone for $XRP in institutional DeFi 🤝 app.morpho.org/ethereum/vari…

The market sucks. It’s not going to suck forever. I try not to navel gaze. I spend 60% of my time thinking about what comes next and 40% of my time helping the team execute on existing plans. Unlike a lot of projects that have blown through their capital and are shutting their doors, Flare remains well capitalised. We have had massive success with FXRP (biggest XRP usage by a factor of 5-6) in the worst possible market - I expect usage and TVL to increase markedly as certain things come onstream - aided by a market recovery. I want to do the same with FBTC. Then there are killer apps for the whole space that CAN ONLY really be enabled by the FCC in conjunction with the rest of Flare’s product suite. Lastly we will see Flare start to be used more widely for crosschain data. Every inch we move forward will raise Flare’s profile and everything feeds revenue into FIRE.

JUST IN: A $1 stablecoin CRASHED to nearly zero after a nearly $1 MILLION exploit. Balance Coin, meant to hold $1 value using Bitcoin-backed collateral, crashed more than 99% to around $0.0014. SlowMist said the attacker fed the protocol’s oracle an extremely low BTC price, triggering liquidations of vaults. The attacker then seized the collateral and converted it into about $912,000 in profit. BLC now trades at $0.00075, valuing the entire 3.51M circulating supply at just $2,570.

@BCBacker I understand your comments around the FLR distribution. I suspect since you last looked at it, Flare has developed immensely. It is now the biggest venue for XRP DeFi in the EVM world. I’d really welcome the chance to talk you through what has been built, what is being built, what is happening on chain and where the future might take us.

Despite all the suggestions to switch to staking, the real trigger will likely come next week when users start asking, “Why are my FTSO rewards so low?” That’s when the difference will become obvious. We'll revisit the returns using 100K FLR as an example next week.

This is what compounding progress looks like. Improvements in compute, data, algorithms and tooling don’t just add together. They reinforce one another, pushing models across new capability thresholds. The result is that yesterday’s frontier can become today’s baseline in a matter of months/weeks. What a time to be alive.
few weeks ago, Fable 5 was so advanced it needed the gov and had to be taken offline. today, we have access to arguably better models for $20/month. took what? six weeks?
