The US has no idea the world of hurt that it has ushered. It is truly soul-crushing to see some of the outcomes. My reaction is not based on partisan politics but rather a deep love and reverence for the US. Regrettably, American Exceptionalism is increasingly disappearing. Not “worst of the worst.”
That’s what people were holding up. That’s what they voted for.
Nick’s right. Once you start calling “we slowed the number of new people” a win, you already moved the goalposts. The people who showed up were told the ones already here would get removed at scale. They weren’t told “we’ll manage the flow better and call it a day.”
This was the last realistic shot. If Texas is now permanently harder for Republicans, how exactly does a Republican win the presidency again?
