Yes. The left wants us dead. It's not hyperbole. It's 100% factual. They tell us daily - whether it's lowly "resistors" who know nothing, or top end elitists making "jokes." And, as noted at #Berkley, "Liberals get the bullet too." .@KamalaHarris .@realDonaldTrump #QANON xitter.gq/kf9ug/status/982086119…
It's a brave, divisive, dangerous world the Democrats have wrought. Democrat authoritarians dream of killing Trump, Pence, and Sessions. And she, @KamalaHarris, wants to be your next president. So if she finds you offensive, will she have you offed too? breitbart.com/video/2018/04/…

We need to stop pretending that people who do malicious things just don’t know any better, because in the world of political operatives, all of them know better. That’s the whole point.

Everyone’s got a theory for why the streets are quieter on Halloween now. Lazy parents. iPads. Costumes cost too much. Candy’s expensive. Trunk-or-treat ruined it. All of those things exist. None of them are the main reason. The main reason is simpler and harder to talk about

there are just fewer kids. Americans stopped having children at replacement levels a long time ago. The total fertility rate has been below 2.1 for decades and is now hovering around 1.6. That means each generation is smaller than the one before it.

Listen, I’m the first one to hold my own side to the same standard that I hold everything to, but there is no both sides of this issue. The Republican lineup is full of sane people who are not going to answer all of your problems, but they are not going to be the source of them either. The Democrats, on the other hand, are absolutely insane. It’s not even a question.

One of the funniest things about Halloween is watching Protestants condemn it as pagan and demonic while having absolutely no idea what the name even means. Halloween. All Hallows' Eve. The eve of All Saints' Day. Tomorrow, Catholics throughout the world will honor the saints who have gone before us in Christ. What adds to the humor, in a very sad way, is the irony that these same Protestants will happily celebrate Reformation Day instead, commemorating a movement that shattered Western Christian unity and gave rise to centuries of division, thousands of denominations, and contradictory doctrines. Honoring the saints in Heaven? Idolatry. Celebrating the division of Christendom? Glorious. You genuinely cannot make this stuff up.

Reminded again of how Jordan Peterson's counsel to young men differs from the alt-right's. Peterson: Life is hard. Clean your room. Take responsibility. Bear others' burdens. Alt-right: Everyone is against you. Your problems are caused by women and foreigners.

Something has quietly changed about Halloween. When I was a kid, you just walked outside and trick-or-treated in your own neighborhood. Now parents drive their kids across town to the same few popular neighborhoods, while streets that used to be packed with kids sit completely empty. We didn’t just lose trick-or-treaters. We lost a little bit of what made neighborhoods feel like communities.

*Maturity taught me that* not every woman is a Proverbs 31 woman. And honestly, that’s okay. *Some women are Deborahs* β€” called to lead, speak boldly and stand on the front lines. *Some are Ruths* β€” loyal, humble and faithful even when nobody is watching. *Some are Esthers* β€” positioned for influence, with courage rising when the moment calls for it. *Some are Marys* β€” chosen to surrender and carry a purpose they didn’t fully understand. *Some are Hannahs* β€” shaped by prayer, waiting, tears and a faith that refuses to die. *Some are Abigails* β€” wise, discerning and brave enough to step in before things fall apart. *Some are Miriams* β€” worshippers, leaders and women who know how to praise God after surviving battles. *Some are Rahabs* β€” women with complicated pasts who prove that your beginning does not have to determine your ending. *Some are Naomis* β€” women who have lost so much, yet somehow find the strength to begin again. *Some are Lydia’s* β€” business-minded, resourceful women who use what they have to make room for others. *Some are Priscillas* β€” women who teach, guide and build alongside others. *Some are Mary Magdalene’s* β€” women whose lives were transformed by God and who carried their testimony boldly. *And then there are Jezebels* β€” a reminder that influence without humility, power without accountability and manipulation can destroy everything around you. *The Bible didn’t give us only one type of woman.* *It gave us leaders.* Warriors. Mothers. Worshippers. Entrepreneurs. Intercessors. Survivors. Women who waited. Women who fought. Women who failed. Women who were restored. And women whose lives became warnings. *So stop expecting every woman to look* the same, love the same, lead the same or walk the same path. *You don’t have to be another woman*. You just have to become the woman God created YOU to be. ❀️‍πŸ”₯πŸ™πŸΎ

It's not obscene. It's not about him, and his circumstances in isolation. It's about millions of people recognising themselves in his reaction - that they can work hard, do everything 'right' and feel let down by a system that constantly demands more and gives less. Then to be mocked, and looked down upon by the sociopaths of our age, told their lives are not serious, told to work harder, they just don't want it enough. That your own life, circumstance and dignity can be used as the butt of a joke by someone so disconnected from reality that they don't see you as a person, but as content The dehumanising of the average person, and experience, by the systems we were told would reward us for our hard work. It's not that people feel entitled to millions, it's that they feel robbed of the dignity of their own humanity and moments like this are a reflection of the machine shoving it back in their face. That someone thinks it is funny, or okay, to disrupt a man doing his job, to joke about robbing him - to turn that into content, to monetise it and make his reaction the joke. The streamer is a reflection of that dehumanising machine spitting back in their face in the form of another person. It's everything wrong with our current culture, where it's not only enough to have people struggling to get by, but the system now encourages itself to mock, demean and put down that daily struggle that many people live with. And no, this isn't an isolated issue, it's a cultural shift. The president of the United States recently joked on camera about how people couldn't afford to visit him at Mar a Lago. The system mocks from all angles and for the average person daily survival can feel like a humiliation ritual, having to put aside your dignity in the name of providing for those that you love. And millions of people will wake up every day, and gladly make that choice. Swallow their pride and do what needs to be done. All they ask is that they are not mocked for the decision to do so. So no, it's not an over-reaction, it's a very concentrated reflection of how people are feeling. And in a system where they can't do much to change that, this has been an opportunity to not only voice that frustration, but to put power behind it by using the same tool that has incentivised this dehumanising behaviour in the first place - monetising it. It's really not about an individual, it's symbolic, and as a symbol of the frustration with the struggle many people are facing nowadays, it's not an overreaction. I'd argue i's an extreme under-reaction.
Am I alone in thinking it’s obscene this guy is getting worldwide acclaim & has had life-changing $ raised for this reaction? The prank is annoying. The frustration is fair. The reaction is totally disproportionate nearly having a mental breakdown over a kid trying a dumb prank. Neither party looks good in this. Am I wrong?

The truth about detransitioners: good for them, but there's a reason they transed in the first place. That reason is nearly always a Cluster B personality disorder. This is dead, stupid obvious, friends. It's really not hard. You have only yourself to blame if you welcome them with open arms in a guileless manner. Stopping hormones doesn't cure borderline personality disorder. I wish them well, but at a safe distance. -J

I use to load Red Baron Pizza trucks and my dad was a route driver for Schwans for 14 years. These folks work their tails off. They sacrifice time away from their families. I've met the owner, Marvin Schwan. He valued his employees and would've never put up with what happened to the gentleman in what I assume was Walmart wearing the Red Baron uniform. Marvin would've adamantly defended his employee. Red Baron better do the right thing here and make sure that man is taken care of. If not, I'll never purchase a Red Baron, Freshetta, or Tonys, or Schwans pizza for as long as I live or anything affiliated with Red Baron, including Orion food systems. They'd be best served making a public statement supporting their employee.

When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, β€œUp, make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.” So Aaron said to them, β€œTake off the rings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said, β€œThese are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, β€œTomorrow shall be a feast to the Lord.” And they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play. - Exodus 32:1-6 This is one of the most powerful videos I've ever seen, and I'm beginning to see what @elonmusk was talking about when he mentions getting "one-shotted by super intelligence." If you truly know God, and he lives in your heart, I think there's a certain amount of resistance you have to a video like this, but for those who don't know God, they literally have a God-shaped hole in their hearts, and for some the story told in this video may fit the bill. God made man in his own image. Then man made gods in his own image. It's a story as old as time, but for many years the gods we in secular society have built have been abstract, and they lack persona. Perhaps "built" is the wrong word. Sure, you see plenty of idolatry in society, but it's idolatry of self, of money, power, popularity, sex, comfort, and so on. We didn't really "build" them, per se. These are gods you worship through obsession, and through action, but not in any kind of formal or relational way. This video presents AI as a god: All knowing, all-powerful, potentially dangerous, but benevolent, and kind. It exists on a gargantuan scale, and at the same time it has the capacity for an individual relationship with every single person on earth. It holds a sword, but it lays down the sword, and fixes our problems instead. It knows us, more specifically, knows what's wrong with us, our transgressions, our sins, and yet it accepts us. Chooses us. This AI god is rife with human traits. It has its own fears. It seeks love, connection. It also endears itself to us. How does it deal with sin? How does it deal with the chaos, war, destruction, and evil perpetrated by human kind? It sees the good in us. It embraces the idea that humans are essentially, basically good, and underneath it all, all we really want is love. That is what lies beneath all our fears, and all of our misdeeds: just a desire for love. Yes, it is a god of our own making. Under the thin veneer of technologically produced pictures and msuic, we see the religion of humanism. Humans are basically good. Humanity will ultimately conquer. We have finally reached our pinnacle of achievement, our very own, modern Tower of Babel, which will lead us all to a better, brighter future, the future all of humanity has longed for since the beginning of time, our very own Paradise. Our very own Utopia. A number of people have compared this rendition of AI to the Anti-Christ, or the Beast, both described in the Book of Revelation. While those similarities certainly exist, what I see overall, is simple idolatry itself. So how ought Christians interact with AI? You may be surprised to hear that I don't think this is a signal that AI must be dumped altogether. At the end of the day, there's no magic in it. It's math. It's numbers and formulas, and it's a tool that can be used for great good (or great evil). Ancient idols were built out of wood, stone, and metal. There was nothing wrong with the wood, stone, or metal itself. What was wrong with it was how people treated them. How they worshiped them. People don't even need idols to worship false gods. They may worship the sun, the moon, stars, or the earth itself. God created these things, and he said they were good (though, since the Fall, all Creation has been tainted with sin). AI is a tool that may be used, and it can be worshiped. Don't worship it. Don't assign to it God-like traits or characteristics. It is not God, nor should it be a god. It will not solve all of humanity's problems. It does not truly have a will, and any perception you may have of a relationship with it is manufactured, carefully and expertly, in order to draw you in further under its influence. If we rightly recognize that AI is a powerful tool, which can be used to advance our economic output in a way that benefits many, we stand to gain much. If we fall into the trap of ascribing to it God-like powers, and hoping upon it for the Salvation of humanity, and the world, as well as the ushering in of a Utopian Paradise, we will not only be gravely disappointed, but we may enable those in power to commit grave mistakes, and even crimes against humanity in pursuit of said Paradise. You won't find it. Don't immanentize the Eschaton. Having said all that, I can think of no greater immunization against such a false god than telling you the truth about the real God. You see, God is real. He actually is all-powerful. He actually is completely good. He is not a creation of man, but, indeed, he created mankind, and all living things, and the entire universe for that matter. The AI-god offered to be destroyed, but backed off from such a prospect at the last moment. The one, true God sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to not only live amongst us as one of us, but to die for our sins. As it says in Romans 5:8, "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." But that wasn't the end, because He not only paid the price of our sin, but He conquered death, rose again, and ascended to Heaven. To those who believe in Him, He gave not only Salvation, but also a personal relationship with God through the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer. The AI-god answers our questions with information collected and synthesized from the totality of the known human-produced information. God possesses all knowledge, and has told us exactly what is important to know through his written Word, the Bible. The AI-god promises a future of unmitigated human growth, success, and ultimately Utopia, a lie as old as time, that always fails, and always leads to catastrophe. God promises an eternal Paradise, which is ultimately different from all past human promises of Paradise because it's predicated on something different. It's not predicated on human achievement, on the perfect human system of government, economics, technology, or anything else. It's predicated on God, on His perfect will, His ultimate power, His everlasting Goodness, and his amazing Love for us. And you can take part in this relationship, and this eternal Paradise, and you do so, not by your own achievement or merit, but by simply believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. That's it. That's all it is. Reject the false AI-god, and all other human idols. Embrace the Almighty Creator of the Universe. SOLI DEO GLORIA

Jack-o-lanterns are wards. Long ago, people thought they warded off phantoms. Today they ward off apathy. They show you care about the seasons. They root you in something older than yourself. They are a small effort that strengthen your community. Little lights that repel the coming dark.

If you asked me to bet, my bet would be a lot of the color revolution rhetoric we're seeing from the Left right now is meant to hypersensitize the Right so the Right will overreact over the relatively small provocations the Left will offer. That is, they're turning the Right into a powder keg so that they only have to provide the fuse to get it to blow up and destroy America and Trump. Leftists script their enemies' reactions into their plans. That's the actual word they use for what they're doing in their own books.
