An ice cream company president in Japan stood in a dark suit in front of a hundred factory workers and bowed on national television over nine cents.
His company makes the blue soda popsicle that every kid in Japan buys with pocket change after baseball practice on a hot summer afternoon.
For a quarter of a century, the company fought inflation to keep the price at roughly forty cents—because everyone in the factory knew little kids were counting coins in front of the freezer case.
When soaring ingredient costs finally forced them to raise the price by nine cents, the executives refused to shrink the popsicle behind the scenes or hide the increase in fine print.
Instead, the president and a hundred employees lined up outside company headquarters, stood still for sixty seconds on prime-time television, and bowed in silent apology to the children of Japan.
Nobody was angry. Sales jumped ten percent the very next month because parents wanted to support a company that treated a child's allowance like a sacred contract.
A nation's integrity is not measured by the size of its corporations, but by how honestly they treat a child holding a handful of coins.

The year is 1746. You live in the Highlands, weeks after Culloden. The redcoats burn your house and drive the cattle of the glen down to Fort Augustus, 2,000 at a time, where dealers up from Yorkshire buy them by the lump. You walk to the camp to beg for one cow back for the children and are turned away at the gate. The old die of hunger on the bare hillside while the Duke of Cumberland holds horse races on the flat ground below.
The year is 1847. You live in Ireland, a country that lived off its cattle until conquest handed the herds to the landlords and left you an acre of potatoes. The potatoes have rotted black in the ground. The ships leaving for England are loaded to the rails with cattle, pigs and butter, and your neighbours are found dead in the ditches with their mouths stained green from eating grass. A million die. The man running relief from the Treasury, Charles Trevelyan, writes that the famine will bring about a salutary revolution in the habits of a nation. He is knighted for his work.
The year is 1905. You are Herero, in what is now Namibia, a people whose whole life is cattle. The German general has ordered every Herero shot, with or without cattle, and the rest driven into the desert to die of thirst. In the camp at Swakopmund the women are made to boil the heads of the dead and scrape them clean with shards of glass, for shipping to universities in Germany. Four Herero in five die. The survivors are forbidden by law to own a cow.
The year is 1932. You are Kazakh. The Party has taken your herds and sent them to feed Moscow and Leningrad, and the bodies along the roads are stacked like firewood. You pull a sled across the steppe with your dead child on it, and if you run for China the border guards shoot you. Four Kazakhs in ten die, and the ones left become a minority in their own country.
The year is 2026. You milk cows in County Cork, where the cattle sailed for England while your great-great-grandparents chewed grass in the ditch, and your own government has modelled culling nearly 200,000 dairy cows to meet a climate target.
Take a people's animals and hunger does the rest. The redcoats knew it. The Treasury knew it. The general and the Party knew it.
Ireland learned it in a ditch with grass in its mouth, and is now drawing up the list itself.

Some galactic cores that flare in light send out radio outflows at once. Others stay radio-quiet for hundreds to thousands of days. In ten flares said to be shredded stars, the late radio turn-on came as the light faded to about 2% of a theoretical ceiling, the fraction already linked to jets in small X-ray sources in our galaxy. The team claim a universal black-hole rule, yet the feeding rate is inferred from light and the ceiling rests on an assumed black-hole mass.

The oldest advice ever written down came from the father of the man who survived the Great Flood.
Around 4,600 years ago, the Sumerians were writing something extraordinary on clay tablets.
It's called The Instructions of Shuruppak, one of the oldest surviving works of wisdom literature in human history.
In the later version of this ancient text, a man named Shuruppak sits down to give his son advice about life.
His son is Ziusudra.
The very same Ziusudra who, according to Sumerian mythology, survived the Great Flood.
The man who would later become known through the stories of Atrahasis, Utnapishtim, and eventually Noah.
One of humanity's oldest surviving wisdom traditions was eventually presented as advice passed from a father to the man who would survive the destruction of civilization.
He was teaching him how to live in a functioning society. Don't steal. Don't lie. Don't get involved in other people's fights. Be careful who you trust. Protect your property. Don't abuse the people working for you.
The text discusses farming, irrigation, labourers, slavery, property, debts, marriage, and the behaviour of powerful institutions.
There's even a passage comparing the palace to a mighty river that can never be filled, no matter how much flows into it.
Sound familiar?
These were people dealing with corrupt authority, dishonest neighbours, financial problems, and the same bullshit humanity still struggles with today.
Shuruppak wasn't an imaginary city.
We've excavated it.
The ancient settlement, now called Tell Fara in Iraq, was a real Sumerian city. And archaeologists discovered evidence of significant flooding there, generally dated to around 2900 BCE.
Now, does that prove the Sumerian Great Flood happened exactly as described? No.
But it establishes something interesting. We have an actual ancient city associated with the flood tradition, archaeological evidence of flooding, and a literary tradition that eventually places its wisdom in the hands of the flood survivor.
The oldest surviving version, dating to approximately 2600 2500 BCE, doesn't identify the son as Ziusudra. That connection appears in the later Old Babylonian version.
In other words, we can actually watch an ancient wisdom tradition become attached to the story of the world before the Flood.
Later civilizations, including the Hebrews, developed wisdom literature containing many of the same concerns. The biblical Book of Proverbs shares the familiar structure of an elder teaching the next generation how to navigate life.
We cant prove Proverbs directly copied Shuruppak, but the older Mesopotamian tradition was already well established long before the biblical texts were composed.
When we hear about civilizations existing before the Great Flood, we tend to imagine some primitive world of scattered tribes barely surviving.
That's not true. They imagined cities, kings, workers, farmers, property, organized institutions, and generations of accumulated knowledge.
Was it simply their way of projecting their own society into a legendary past? What fascinates me is that the Sumerians didn't describe the Flood as the beginning of civilization.
They described it as a catastrophe that interrupted an already existing world.
And one of the oldest pieces of literature humanity ever wrote was eventually connected to the man who supposedly lived through that destruction.

Shabana Mahmood: What Are You Hiding About Your Constituency?
Come ride with me through Small Heath and Bordesley Green, the childhood home of Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood. We are looking at the raw, physical reality of these streets versus what you are told on the news.
From the gates of her old school, Small Heath Leadership Academy, where official school data reveals 0% White British pupils out of nearly 1,200 children, to neighboring Somerville Primary School where 96% of the 700+ pupils speak English as an additional language and again 0% white English pupils
The demographic shift is absolute. Is this what is expected across Britain now?
We also film at the exact scene of the brutal, broad-daylight (murder?) on Coventry Road that shook this community just days ago. The reality on the ground is shocking: less than 24 hours after a man lost his life, there was no police tape in sight. The authorities simply threw sand over the blood on the pavement and left a single traffic cone outside a busy food stall operating as normal.
While official government spreadsheets try to claim this area isn't a national disability hotspot, a walk down these high-density terraced streets tells a completely different story. You will see hundreds of disabled parking bays, ramps, and handrails outside many houses.
This video breaks down the mathematical tricks the government uses to dilute local statistics, and exposes the massive gap between Westminster data and the real-world crisis on these pavements.
What is going on? Watch the full video to see the truth.

There is a category of text message designed to force a response from your phone without ever alerting you.
In the cellular specifications (3GPP TS 23.040), it is formally defined as Short Message Type 0, commonly known as a Silent SMS or stealth ping. Inside the message header, the TP-Protocol-Identifier field is set to the value that indicates Type 0 (hex 0x40). The specification requires the mobile equipment to acknowledge receipt back to the network, but it must not indicate the message to the user, must not store it, and must not generate any alert (sound, vibration, or screen wake).
This happens because of the architectural separation in modern smartphones. The Application Processor runs iOS or Android, while a separate Baseband Processor runs closed-source firmware that manages the cellular modem. When a Type 0 message arrives, the baseband processes and acknowledges it at the firmware level. In normal operation it does not surface an event to the operating system’s telephony stack, so ordinary apps, notification settings, and location permissions never see it.
The silent acknowledgment is useful for location purposes. While a phone is idle, the network only knows which broad Tracking Area or Location Area it is in. Sending a Silent SMS forces the network to page the device. The phone responds with an uplink transmission; during that exchange the serving cell logs the Cell ID and measures Timing Advance.
Timing Advance is a distance estimate based on radio propagation delay. In classic GSM (2G) each step corresponds to roughly 550 meters. In LTE the granularity is finer (approximately 78 meters per step), and in 5G it can be finer still depending on the subcarrier spacing. A single measurement therefore places the phone in a ring around the tower rather than at an exact point. Investigators who can query multiple neighboring cells or send a sequence of pings can refine the estimate further and build a movement trail, all without any GPS data from the phone.
European authorities have publicly confirmed operational use. German parliamentary and government records have shown federal and state police, criminal police, and intelligence services sending large volumes of Silent SMS for location purposes, historically hundreds of thousands per year across agencies in peak periods, with individual state forces sometimes exceeding 300,000–400,000. Usage has varied by year and some statistics are now classified. The technique is also used alongside IMSI-catchers: the forced uplink burst gives direction-finding equipment a signal to home in on.
A VPN does nothing against this because SMS travels on the cellular signaling plane, not over the internet data path. Disabling location services only blocks apps from reading the GPS chip. As long as the cellular radio is active, the modem is required by the standards to answer network pages. The practical way to stop Silent SMS responses is airplane mode (or otherwise powering down the radio transceiver).
PS: Sorry, no simulator today :-|

Venus is the wrong planet for 4.5 billion years of the same orbit.
She turns backwards, and slowly, one day longer than her year. Official explanations now include an early moon-sized impactor to knock the spin into reverse, tides and a thick atmosphere to finish the job, and a mantle viscosity tuned so that the present rate can sit at equilibrium.
Each of these is a separate invention. None of them is forced by a measurement that Venus is old. Thornhill’s cathode-jet birth gives the retrograde turn a parent in one motion. Saturn’s equator struck the new planet as it left, imparting a retrograde motion. A young body does not need a later giant impact to explain a spin it received at delivery.
The floor looks young. Magellan found so few and such fresh craters that official geology had to invent a global resurfacing, a catastrophic overturn a few hundred million years ago, or a continuous volcanic wipe, to keep a nebular age.
Reviews called the average age “𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠.”Venus has no drifting continental plates like Earth. Instead its surface shows large circular scars, spider-like patterns of cracks, flat round domes, highly fractured terrain, and two big highland regions called Maxwell and Ishtar.
The greenhouse can heat a surface. It does not make the crater clock look like a recent skin, and it does not invent those shapes. Remnant heat in a recently born or recently discharged body does the youth at once.

In the 1970s, seekers from Europe and America climbed a narrow staircase in a crowded Bombay neighbourhood to sit with an old man in a tiny room.
He had no ashram, no organisation and no credentials.
For most of his life, he had sold cheap cigarettes.
His name was Maruti Kambli. He was born in 1897, grew up in a village, and moved to Bombay as a young man to support his family after his father died.
He started as a junior clerk. Then he opened a small shop selling bidis, the cheap hand-rolled cigarettes of India’s working poor. In time he owned eight of them. He married and had four children.
Nothing about him looked spiritual..
In 1933, a friend took him to meet a teacher named Siddharameshwar Maharaj.
The teacher gave him one instruction. You are not what you take yourself to be. Find out what you are. Stay with the simple sense of "I AM," and give your attention to nothing else.
Most people would have nodded and gone home.
Maruti did exactly what he was told.
Between customers, while counting money, while walking home, he kept returning to that bare feeling of being.
Not "I am a shopkeeper."
Not "I am a father."
Just "I am."
Three years later, his teacher died.
In 1937, Maruti left Bombay and wandered across India for about eight months. On the journey home, something in him settled for good. As he later put it, nothing was wrong anymore.
But here is the part almost nobody knows.
He went back to the shop.
He kept selling cigarettes for almost thirty more years.
He lost his wife, and later a daughter. He kept going to work, and he kept answering anyone who climbed up to his little room with a question.
The world would come to know him as:
Nisargadatta Maharaj.
In 1973, a Polish-born seeker named Maurice Frydman translated his talks into English. The major publishers turned the book down, so a small Indian press printed it instead.
It was called I Am That. Today it is considered one of the great classics of non-duality.
And the people who climbed his stairs got the same answer the shopkeeper got in 1933.
Ask him about chakras, past lives or visions, and he would wave it away and turn you back to the one who was asking.
Think about what that means.
One of the clearest teachers of the 20th century never lived in a cave. He never wore robes. He never left his street. The instruction that changed his life fit between two customers.
Most of us are waiting for the right conditions.
> The retreat.
> The quiet house.
> The year we’ll finally have time.
As if what we are can only be found somewhere else.
He didn’t need a different life.
He needed to find out who was living this one.

Cook’s reconstruction places both the earlier polar age and the later catastrophes on a single calendar. The polar configuration ends in 3147 BC. Everything after that belongs to the aftermath, not to the Golden Age itself.
In 2349 BC a large electrical discharge from Venus arrives. The Absu (Earth’s equatorial rings) falls, the Moon appears in its present form, and the length of the year changes.
In 1492 BC Cook keeps an Exodus / Typhon event. Between 806 and 687 BC Mars makes nine close approaches. Mercury flares in 686. An axial shift and the Phaethon event close the sequence in 685.
In Cook’s mechanics the year is not 365 days from the beginning. It runs at 240 days, then 260 days, before reaching the length we count today. These figures are his own. What is important from him is the shared claim with Velikovsky, that after Saturn had gone, Venus and Mars came near the Earth.
Talbott’s visual sequence already ends in disorder. A usurper appears, thunderbolts strike, and the ordered court is scattered.
Cochrane’s books supply the detailed record of the two bodies that leave their places on Saturn’s disc and then fight in the open sky.
He does not treat Athena and Nergal as mere seasonal figures. Venus appears as queen, morning star, hairy star, bringer of fire, and a recent prodigy. Mars appears as the scarred warrior, the child who grows dangerous.
The Kronos papers written with Talbott already stated the distinction that a cometary Venus belongs to a later phase. Polar Saturn is not a comet. The later file is what happens when the inner stack breaks apart and the remaining bodies can still see and approach one another.
De Grazia’s Iron Age of Mars is a neighbouring name for the last of those encounters. It is not this theory’s polar configuration. It is further testimony that the first millennium BC was not a quiet Newtonian interval.

Velikovsky is again first on Venus, as he was on Earth as a satellite. In Worlds in Collision Venus is not yet the mannerly morning star.
She is a comet-like body on a long ellipse, born or ejected in living memory, trailing hydrocarbons, raining naphtha, darkening the sky, and coming near enough for plagues, a parted sea, a column of cloud and fire, and a year that would not stay still.
The Exodus and Typhon belong to that pass. A later return is Joshua’s long day. Mars is drawn into the disturbance in the first millennium. The warrior closes on Earth in the eighth and seventh centuries. The decisive years he named are near 747 and 687 BC.
Sennacherib’s army dies in a blast from the sky. The sundial of Ahaz runs backward. Isaiah and Habakkuk still speak of a rushing one from the south. Phaethon is the same class of memory. A body that leaves its path and sets the world on fire. After Mars withdraws, the inner court circularises and the present quiet begins.
He did not offer this as ornament on a Saturnian first age. He offered it as history. The satellite sentence and the Venus–Mars chapters are two halves of one refusal. The solar system we measure now is not the system the first civilisations watched.
