This is the single most important issue after demographics, and the GOP is either falling asleep at the wheel, like Greg Abbott does on most issues, or actively collaborating with technocrats to remove your freedom, like Mike Lee. This is no different than digital ID.
While the American Right talks about how insane the UK government is, our own government is quietly implementing insane, draconian measures that even Starmer didn’t manage to get implemented yet. If Vance is at all tapped into cultural issues, and values freedom of speech, he’ll speak out against this. So far though it’s complete radio silence from the WH, on what will go down as perhaps the defining battle of internet freedom.
Pointing out the UK’s tyranny means nothing, if you do nothing about the GOP doing the same exact things. Mike Lee wants to sell American land to the CCP, and he cosponsors mass immigration bills with KAMALA HARRIS, but nobody talks about that now, because even though he supports policies which would doxx all of his RW critics, he’s pretending to do it “for the children.” Great.
Veilguard wokeflopped so hard that it caused mass layoffs, tanked stock values, and caused a valuation spiral. Sorry, there’s no getting around the fact that woke killed BioWare.
The GOP chose to lose Ohio. I can’t imagine any candidate, except Vivek, having so few scruples that they pay the woman who facilitated her daughter’s continual rape, to be the face of a campaign ad.
BOMBSHELL:
Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter.
“My name is Donna Arthur and I’m Amy Acton’s mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America.
I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent—and it’s not easy for a mother to say this—but Amy has a serious problem.
She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She’s lied her entire life.
My daughter needs help, and she can’t help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn’t doing that.
Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.”
That’s one hell of an October surprise.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Acton’s stepfather abused her from age 9 to 12 and was criminally charged, and the family lived in a tent in winter. Her brother confirms they were removed from their mother’s custody. Acton’s stayed married to the stepfather until he died.

What the hell is going on? Every time I check back, another account I liked is banned. And in recent weeks, it’s always totally innocuous ones, ones like Aya, that don’t post anything controversial. It’s like there’s a mini banwave every week.
The girl told the police that it was all consensual, at least on her end, and that it wasn’t rape. According to her own report, she had sex with one man who was drunkenly dry heaving, and another who fell asleep because he was so drunk. Woke never went away.
Sunny Hostin, a former sex crimes prosecutor, actually defends the Cornell 7. She argues that under New York State law, the girl consented and that the media is "reporting this story inaccurately. I think they're reporting it unfairly."
"The pictures of these young men who have not been charged, not been adjudicated are being plastered all over the internet," she decried.
Respectfully, her comms team should be gone, yesterday. I don’t think young, White guys should have to take this stuff, constant demonisation, “on the chin.” Literally just go to an EBT / “human services” office, and interview random people. Offer them $5 each. Show the interviewer, asking, “how long have you been on food stamps?” and, then, a montage showing their answers. Then show the interviewer, asking “when was the last time you had a job?” and, then, a montage showing their answers. This is so, unbelievably, easy.
Go talk to a random facebook “plates” vendor, choose the most popular one, and ask him how much of his business comes from EBT usage. Just use real examples, if a single model, that happens to, just maybe, represent the demographics abusing welfare, would be “offensive.” White people are the only group that, reliably, vote GOP. Young White men are the future of the electoral right base, or at least might be. The GOP either forgets, or ignores that. In the case of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, let’s all just be honest, they’re ignoring it.
John Doyle reacts to the Sarah Sanders welfare advertisement and explains the ACTUAL reason why the GOP spends so much time pandering to minority groups.

This supposes the thing I am against: voting for Vivek because he will do less damage than Acton. I don’t think this is so. I think Ramaswamy will be activist, work with the GOP Legislature, get things done, overhaul things, transform Ohio with massive population increase, massive infrastructure projects, and high tech investments. This will attract out of state money, foreign investment, and the gold rush mentality. This will bring Ohio along the same path as Texas, which is now a post-Texan state.
Acton is awful, but she will be ineffective, fight with the GOP legislature and not get much done. She will also be at war with the Feds on immigration (she will lose). She will piss off the conservatives and therefore continue to radicalize the state with her Leftwing initiatives. Don’t vote for Acton, but don’t pretend like Vivek will do less damage.

Young white guy here. 22% of my income gets stolen from me every year to give welfare to boomers that hate me and foreigners that hate me.
I have not been the beneficiary of a federal or state welfare scheme my entire life. I am not alone. Why am I the villain?
This is good and fertile ground, but people are going to want to see extreme follow through. If any other program was exposed as being this fraudulent, if any other program had been this abused, and that was made public, any program that isn’t lobbied for by foreign governments, it would have been completely shut down already. The restrictions to H-1B have been great, but people are going to want something that effectively kills it completely. If H-1B wasn’t so heavily lobbied for, by india and china in particular, the conclusion wouldn’t be that it should enrich the economy, but that it shouldn’t exist. Of course the OPT restrictions recently were also great.
The other week I saw, what was for me, the *very first* headline where business owners were arrested, for employing illegals. That should be happening in instances of H-1B abuse too, not these fines, which for companies like Apple, probably mean nothing at all. Then, maybe, people would start getting excited again.
Ah yes, the main consumer of welfare, as we all know: White men in their late-20s and early-30s.
