Relevant tonight.
Liz Cheney: “I say this to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible. There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain.”

The renewed focus from Senator Warren and the Democrats on affordability, corporate power, and economic insecurity is welcome.
We can fight corruption, demand fair rules, and still recognize Bitcoin as an open, permissionless monetary network.
Consumer protection and financial freedom can, (and should!), go hand in hand.
Democrats won elections by being populist economic fighters.
Now, we must deliver. Yes, even with Donald Trump in the White House.

This can happen anywhere. It will happen again, many times. This is why you need at least some Bitcoin $BTC. Start by studying Bitcoin.
People in Paraguay protest after their money disappears into thin air 🇵🇾
> Ueno Bank, which held money of 60% of the adult population was shut down by the govt for financial trouble
> People lost their life savings and even the govt lost retirement money kept in the bank for elderly
> Govt is now promising to reimburse some money to the poor, but the rich will still lose their entire wealth
Paraguay has a PCI ~$10k, which some bhosads will claim must make it a paradise 😁

LAST YEAR PARAGUAY'S CENTRAL BANK HELD A MEETING ABOUT ADOPTING #BITCOIN AND REJECTED THE IDEA
NOW THE COUNTRY'S LARGEST BANK COLLAPSED AND OVER HALF THE POPULATION CAN'T ACCESS THEIR MONEY
ENTIRE LIFE SAVINGS GONE IN A SECOND
THE FIAT SYSTEM FAILED THEM
BTC IS THEIR ONLY HOPE 🔥
Call me crazy...
But maybe the fact that 3 MILLION people in Paraguay just had their salaries, pensions, and savings frozen...
...while every American news network spent the last 48 hours hyper-focused on election night...
is not a coincidence.
Ueno Bank.
60% of all adults in the country.
Accounts locked.
App dead.
Branches guarded by police.
Central bank stepped in after the solvency ratio cratered below half the legal minimum.
State pension funds exposed for hundreds of millions.
Depositors locked out overnight.
And almost nobody in U.S. media is talking about it.
Because election coverage is easier.
And infinitely more convenient.

Americans are tired of hating each other.
Make our politics THIS again.

Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party.

Give Millennials the ball.
We’re pushing 40 and still being told to wait our turn by people who need help opening a PDF.
Move. We’ve got shit to fix.

We can go after corruption in crypto AND establish fair, clear rules of the road. These are not mutually exclusive goals.
But policymakers need to understand the distinction: Bitcoin is an open, decentralized protocol—not a company, a PAC, or a political operation.
Hold bad actors accountable. Don’t conflate them with Bitcoin.

Democrats are gaining ground tonight on a message of affordability and economic fairness.
But that conversation must include money itself.
Bitcoin is open, permissionless, and accessible to anyone. It’s time progressives recognized its place in a more equitable economic future.

🚨 NORTH KOREAN HACKERS USED FAKE JOB INTERVIEWS TO INFILTRATE BINANCE BEFORE $6.34 BILLION HEIST
Binance has revealed how North Korean hackers allegedly spent months infiltrating its internal systems through an elaborate social engineering campaign targeting employees.
In September, hackers posing as recruiters contacted a Binance software engineer through a legitimate job platform.
The engineer completed a video interview with a fake HR representative, who shared social media profiles containing personal photos and videos to establish credibility.
A second interview followed with someone pretending to be the CEO of a fictitious company.
Near the end of the interview, the engineer was instructed to download a coding assignment onto his work computer.
The assignment contained sophisticated malware that bypassed Binance’s endpoint security protections, giving the attackers access to his machine.
On October 20, the hackers used the compromised computer and an internal Binance AI tool to gain access to two additional engineers working on wallet infrastructure.
They discovered a container deployment token on one engineer’s computer.
On October 29, the attackers accessed another engineer’s computer, used the stolen credentials to deploy a malicious container, and compromised Binance’s wallet signing infrastructure.
That access allowed them to authorize fraudulent transactions across multiple blockchains and ultimately steal $6.34 billion in digital assets.
Binance says $2.85 billion has since been frozen or intercepted, while 98% of impacted token assets have been replenished.
The FBI attributes the attack to North Korea’s TraderTraitor hacking group.

Ubuntu is getting roasted over a kernel bug it still hasn't patched.
CVE-2026-98432 is a use-after-free in the Linux kernel's IPv4 TCP handshake code. It's been there since 2016, it can be triggered remotely, and it's rated CVSS 9.8. Debian shipped a fix on October 16. Arch, Alpine and Slackware have fixes too.
Ubuntu's security tracker still lists every supported release, 24.04 and 26.04 LTS included, as "Vulnerable", with fixes marked "work in progress". Ubuntu also rates it "High" rather than Critical, and Critical is what normally triggers an out-of-cycle update.
A blog post called "WTF Ubuntu?" by chalmovsky hit the top of Hacker News today. It says: "Ubuntu hasn't shipped the patch nine days after it was rated 9.8 and six days after a working root exploit." The author also took their Ubuntu servers offline.
HN commenters point out that fixed kernels are already sitting in Ubuntu's -proposed repositories. Others are swapping migration notes for Debian, AlmaLinux and Rocky. So far there's no public statement from Canonical.

2. When I was a child in the 1940s, my mother would cut up slices of fruit for me (there wasn't much) and as she put it in front of me she would say, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." How about, “A sonnet a day keeps the doctor away”? So...here we go: Sonnet 1.
