The City Council and our state legislators are so worried about upsetting delivery workers that they refuse to seriously crack down on e-bikes and their dangerous batteries.
I warned about this when they legalized these devices in 2020. My warnings fell on deaf ears.
We need aggressive action to get these batteries off our streets and out of our buildings. Enough kowtowing to special interests and hiding behind the excuse of “people’s livelihoods.”
Public safety comes FIRST. Period
