These are unprecedented times for us.
But the church has endured plagues, wars, poverty, & oppression for generations.
We pray psalms written in caves.
We preach letters penned in prison.
We cling to truths revealed in the wilderness.

The largest chapter in the Bible is a collection of poetic phrases describing a man's undying love for God's Word.
Why do we overlook that and go crazy over a Jer 29:11?
It's because our culture has made living for Christ about living for yourself, when God says it's about Him.

If Jesus spent 8 hours a day, every day, for 3 years with his disciples, he would have spent over 8,000 hours with them. And after all that time, they still had significant gaps!
And we think 1 hour a week on Sunday morning is gonna change people?

Don’t avoid the feeling that God isn’t there. He’s not as absent as he feels. Your desire for his presence is an evidence he’s at work in you. And one day, he will be nearer than you can imagine now. desiringgod.org/articles/whe…
