WHY haven't we CODIFIED Trump's immigration executive orders?! Why haven't we STRIPPED jurisdiction from the federal courts over deportation cases?! There's SO MANY THINGS we COULD HAVE DONE."

DeSantis is far more like Reagan than he is Trump. He may be the person farthest from being a big government populist alive today. He is a strict constructionist and one of country's top proponents of federalism. And his view on tariffs is virtually identical to Reagan's. And no one who has actually met him would ever call him snarky or mean-spirited. He doesn't have Reagan's sense of humor or actor's presence on a stage; even he would probably call himself closer to Coolidge than Reagan in those regards, but he is, by far, the best actual CONSERVATIVE candidate in the GOP stable.

MAGA Inc. was not created to defend January 6 defendants. It is a standard political Super PAC built for elections, advertising, and campaign operations.
Politics is now the Trump family business nothing else. They make money whether they win or lose. Don't forget that Maga Inc made over 250 million dollars after losing in 2020 and leading the riot at the capital. Hardly any of the money was used on legal fees, it was a pure grift.
This is why 2028 is setup for another Blue Wipeout. Trump lackeys run the RNC and do whatever he tells them. Trump will continue to suck money, energy, and attention from Republicans and continue to endorse candidates based on loyalty to him not based on electability.
I think that the most interesting development that has come from Tuesday's beatdown is that Republicans and Fake right wing media is not holding him accountable for what happened and those who put some blame on him do it in a very reserved way that lacks the energy and passion of the moment.

They have been countermessaging President Trump on every single one of his objectives, and coincidentally, their messaging always lines up with Tucker Carlson. Why doesn’t everybody go look at the ownership of the Daily Caller.
