Liberty Requires Consent. Recent comments from the Libertarian Party of San Francisco regarding age of consent laws have raised serious concerns. We want to be clear: Libertarian principles do not justify the sexual exploitation or abuse of children. Consent is foundational to liberty. Every individual has the right to bodily autonomy, but meaningful consent requires the capacity to understand and freely agree. Children have the right to be protected from abuse, exploitation, and coercion. Our commitment to the non-aggression principle is not a loophole for predators. It is a commitment to protecting people from force, fraud, and abuse, and holding those who violate their rights accountable. Liberty belongs to everyone, including those who cannot yet defend their own rights. Protecting them is not contrary to liberty. It is essential to it.

“I am your neighbor who is just as fed up as you are with the seemingly endless spiral towards more debt, endless wars, and constant division, not only in my community, but in this country. We can’t wait until tomorrow anymore, when the fight for freedom already started yesterday.” – Jamie Remmey, Pennsylvania Libertarian for U.S. House @Remmey4Congress

The number one concern in America right now is that the government is corrupt.

The Libertarian Party is founded on the idea that you should never initiate force or fraud against another. Inherent in this is the idea that consent must be clear, informed, and ongoing. You cannot rightly consent if you're intoxicated, coerced, or too young. While it's true that there are many who wish to remove government from every aspect of our lives, including the law, that does not mean people wish to allow murder, rape, theft, and other horrible violations of liberty. That includes statutory rape and those who prey on the incapacitated - because consent must be clear, informed, and ongoing. Under any just system - with or without a state, the vulnerable must be protected from predators who would do them harm.

This is a wonderful idea! The Mises Caucus should form its own political party. And I strongly encourage everyone who supports the values of the Mises Caucus to join this Party. People should belong to political parties that represent them, their values, and like-minded individuals.

Having a friend in a mental health crisis and seeing which people in our party (or associates) who are making this political or talking shit, really tells me all I need to know. Humanity is broken and some of y’all have no compassion or tact.

This is what “voting straight ticket Republican” gets you New Hampshire has fallen from being a sure #1 freest state to #8 Thankfully a competent Libertarian Party has arrived to reclaim the Granite State’s number one spot. We’ve got a lot of work to do.

In the 5 years since the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire was attacked by the GOP, New Hampshire dropped from the freest state to 8th, only a smidge above Iowa. Almost like Republicans are no better than Democrats. The states that have gained most heavily have overwhelmingly been ones with strong Libertarian Parties. The ones that have stalled are ones where the uniparty attacked our affiliates. Become part of the solution. Become a Libertarian. Follow @LPNational and join at lp.org/join

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mark "Marky Jr" Elworth Calls for Legalizing and Regulating Prostitution and Cocaine Libertarian argues personal freedom, public safety, and Colorado's tourism economy deserve a new approach COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. Libertarian candidate for Colorado's 5th Congressional District Mark "Marky Jr" Elworth is calling for the legalization and regulation of prostitution and cocaine, arguing that prohibition has failed to eliminate demand while creating black markets and wasting taxpayer resources. "Colorado loves freedom, but we still spend enormous amounts of money trying to control what adults do with their own bodies," said Elworth. "It's time to ask whether prohibition is actually working, or whether it's creating more problems than it solves." Elworth argues that a regulated system could establish safety standards, reduce the role of criminal markets, and allow law enforcement to focus on violent crime rather than consensual adult behavior. He also sees a broader economic question for Colorado, where tourism and mountain communities depend on attracting visitors and supporting local businesses. "Colorado's ski towns need thriving businesses, visitors, and new ideas," Elworth said. "We should be willing to debate whether a more open, regulated adult economy could create additional economic activity while respecting individual liberty." Elworth acknowledges that legalization alone would not solve the challenges facing Colorado's ski industry. He argues, however, that policymakers should examine the economic and public-safety consequences of prohibition rather than treating the current approach as beyond debate. A Libertarian Approach Elworth's position reflects his broader commitment to limited government, personal freedom, and individual responsibility. He argues that adults should generally be free to make their own decisions, while government focuses on protecting people from force, fraud, exploitation, and violence. "Government should protect our rights, not try to run our lives," Elworth said. "We can have an honest debate about regulation, public health, and safety without assuming that criminalization is always the answer." About Mark "Marky Jr" Elworth Marky Jr is a Libertarian candidate for Colorado's 5th Congressional District. His campaign emphasizes limited government, personal freedom, fiscal responsibility, and offering voters an alternative to the two major parties. I know @AddisonLib12273 through my role on the Ladies of Liberty Alliance USA board and my role on the Libertarian National Committee. The opposition paints a picture as if I have no experience but that’s simply not true. I ran a small business from 2013-2018 and have been a state director with LPKS since 2020, not to mention serving on his own CAB for years before he shut it down. When I say I’ve seen his failings first hand, I mean it. Let’s try something different, shall we?
