Remember, when Trump says "we," he doesn't mean you. It's a big club, and you ain't in it.
FIRST ON CBS: As President Trump boasts about how much money the U.S. oil and gas industry is making from the war with Iran, the president's personal holdings in oil and gas are now worth between $22.5 million and $81.6 million, compared with $12.6 million to $46 million at the end of 2025, according to a new report by Democrats on the Congressional Joint Economic Committee. cbsn.ws/47IN9un

Oh hey look, voter fraud
An Ohio attorney who donated to Trump's campaigns has had his law license suspended after being convicted of voting in both Ohio and Florida in two elections. The attorney argued it was accidental, but a judge didn't buy it.

States don't have rights. Not even that one. Only individuals have rights. This includes the right to create a state that protects those rights, and to alter or abolish one which does not. We hold these truths to be self-evident.

It's not often that we get to play "find the tankie" and "find the fashie" in the same post, but we unfortunately won both games with this one.
Replying to @The_PFBC_Media
We've periodically reminded Marxist-Leninist tankies that Holodomor-denying commies are morally equivalent to Holocaust deniers, and should be treated the same by society. The reverse is also true.

Oh, we've offended the tankies. Or fashies. Or whoever @The_PFBC_Media is. Same difference

The core false belief of left NIMBYism is that the housing market can't deliver lower rents. The problem, of course, is that the housing market routinely delivers lower rents. The exceptions are places the government does not allow this to happen.
I think the market won't deliver affordability without massive changes in the finance sector and massive state investments in housing... various other things would help too like addressing income inequality etc but I just don't have optimism in market production meeting the task

Reminder: 2 human types become a libertarian. One type loves himself and humanity, and wants to see the human potential fulfilled. The other type sees libertarianism as a way to show the finger to the world. Libertarianism is just an avenue for their contrarianism. How libertarians today deal with the ‘jewish question’ is a good way to tell the one type from the other.
Dr. Hans-Hermann Hoppe criticizes any comparison between Gaza and the Holocaust, citing the lack of forensic evidence and the nature of the Nuremberg trials in contrast to the videos of Israeli criminality. “Nothing like this happened in WWI. Nothing like this happened in WWII.”

Rothbard recruited Hoppe to provide a "libertarian extension" of Habermasian crit theory. He did so bc he wanted a champion with stronger bona fides in his feud with the hermeneutic Austrians at GMU. Sorry, but you don't get to disavow him from your own methods with a handwave.
There is something grimly funny in pondering how the libertarian movement became a breeding ground for fascsim before deciding at least part of the reason is it must have been contaminated by cultural Marxism and critical theory...

The White House Council of Economic Advisers claims illegal immigrants cost taxpayers $166,716 each. Cato's @David_J_Bier says those estimates aren't credible. They have actually reduced federal, state, and local deficits by $1.7 trillion over 30 years. ow.ly/kNi151015Zf

Don't believe claims without evidence to back it. Especially from government politicians!

So I won’t lie, when I saw this graphic of @EdGallrein endorsements yesterday, I was a bit surprised by a few. Well it turns out one of the endorsements was just as surprised as me. I know the Gallrein campaign is getting desperate, but lying about endorsements?

I really wish folks on all ends of the political spectrum would be more interested in being correct than the first to break a story. So much of the anger and fervor we feel against one another is due to misinformation and confirmation bias. Critical thinking would really be something that if applied, would solve so many of the issues we faces and divisions we feel with one another. But by all means, keep reposting without reading further, keep parroting the party lines, and keep using wedges to divide instead of bridges to connect. Let's see how that works out.
