My older relative (female) would have garage sales and refuse to go below certain prices. She would break and throw out the stuff at the end rather then negotiating down. Made zero sense to me lol it’s pride getting in the way.

King Arthur was cursed with a strange disease, and only an old, ugly witch could cure him...
But the witch demanded a young, handsome knight as her husband; Galahad took one for the team and married her.
On the night of the wedding, the witch turned into a beautiful woman and offered Galahad the choice: she could be old and ugly during the day, and young and beautiful at night, or vice versa.
Galahad told her that he respected her choice over her appearance, and she could decide that.
The witch was pleased, as Galahad knew what a woman wanted the most, is freedom over her body. She told Galahad that she would be a beautiful wife all the time for him.
The moral of the story is that no matter how good your wife looks, she is still a witch underneath.
Grok, thank you for explaining the ultimate utility of redefining evolution in the "modern" era to include any genetic change between generations.
The attempt to downplay the fact that the theory of evolution attempts to addresses speciation and extinction makes more sense now.

Requiring speciation would exclude all measurable genetic change within a species. Lab experiments tracking antibiotic resistance, pesticide tolerance, or allele shifts under selection would no longer count as evolution. Population genetics, Hardy-Weinberg tests, and predictive models of adaptation would lose their operational basis. Dog breed divergence, finch beak shifts, and most observed natural selection would be reclassified as non-evolution until reproductive isolation appeared.

One of my many objections to the metric system is that it’s classist bullshit. A foot, a hand, a pace these are measurements invented by people who work with their hands. A carpenter measures a board to make it fit. His boss measures it to calculate the cost. His boss’s boss measures a million boards to calculate how many carpenters he can fire. And his boss needs to know how many light-years it is to the nearest habitable planet so he can escape when he’s finished fucking this one up.

"Here is something that the psychologists have so far neglected: the love of ugliness for its own sake, the lust to make the world intolerable."

This discourse exemplifies the inability to follow a line of reasoning to its logical conclusion.
"Save" the environment, as if the ecosystem is static and biodiversity is not borne of colonization, migration, competition, and extinction.

That was a quick block @ToffeePalace
Didn't even get a chance to throw you a ❤️🤣
For the record, my personal block list numbers zero.
TSCC. Contender for lamest intro ever.
The show itself is #PeakBleak.
Despite compelling writing, there were too many Christian references to give it a third season.

A very cruel person kept this show from me (and the world) and told me not to watch it.
It's the 2008 television series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, starring Lena Headey & Shirley Manson.
