While the law technically focuses on โstrangulation,โ โsuffocationโ and some types of roleplay, itโs written so broadly that content like face-sitting, wrestling and certain types of oral sex and bondage could also be impacted. No one is sure how or where this will be enforced, or against whom. (2/8)

Putting anyone in jail and registering them as a sex offender for consensual acts between adults should scare a lot more people.
๐ฌ๐ง UK porn ban starts tomorrow (6 Nov 2026)
From Friday, possessing or publishing certain types of pornography becomes a criminal offence in England and Wales under the Crime and Policing Act 2026.
Banned content includes:
โข Strangulation or suffocation
โข Penetrative sex between people who appear related (or are pretending to be related, including some step/foster scenarios)
โข Adults role-playing as children under 16
Penalties:
โข Up to 2 years for possession of strangulation or โrelativeโ content
โข Up to 3 years for the under-16 role-play material
โข Up to 5 years for publishing any of it
