Ledger is investigating reports of loss of funds from users in South East Asia who purchased products from a reseller named CryptoBillis. As a precaution, and pending the results of our investigation, we have asked CryptoBilis to pause all sales and shipments of Ledger devices. We recommend Ledger users who purchased from this reseller in the last 90 days to not initiate set up if you have not done so yet. If you have set up your Ledger device, consider moving assets to a new Ledger signer (with new seed). We will continue to inform customers of updates as the investigation progresses.

🚨 WARNING: I found a fake Ledger website/app at the top of Google Search that is designed to steal seed phrases.
Google shows 1M+ visits in the past 30 days
No confirmed link to the alleged $86M theft, but be careful and never enter your seed phrase online.
Guys, always buy your hardware wallet ONLY from the manufacturer’s official store.
One security tip.
When you buy a hardware wallet (or download a new software wallet), leave it for a couple of weeks before moving any meaningful amount of funds to it.
And follow the news in those weeks (and after), for hacks, etc. Hardware can be tempered with, software official website can be hacked. Self custody comes with extra responsibilities.
