the semi-auto that almost replaced the Garand.
Designed by Marine Capt. Melvin Johnson (Harvard-trained lawyer and gun designer), this short-recoil, rotary-bolt rifle had a unique 10-round rotary magazine you could top off with stripper clips or single rounds even with a cartridge in the chamber.
The easily detachable barrel made it ideal for Para-Marines.
It lost the adoption fight to the M1 Garand due to production logistics and institutional preference, but Marine Raiders and Paramarines carried it into Guadalcanal and the Solomons. Medal of Honor recipient Capt. Robert Dunlap used one (SN A0009) at Iwo Jima and credited it with saving lives.

HAPPENING NOW: Absolutely chaotic scene as conservative activists Jake Lang and Thomas Allen storm a Diwali Hindu celebration at the Seattle Center Armory.
They held signs that read, "Deport All Dot Heads" and "Stop Hindu Replacement of Christians."
I just spoke to both men who say they are concerned about American culture being overrun by false idol worshippers and H1-B fraudsters.
Lang and Allen say they will be targeting other locations in the city this weekend.
They have yet to announce details of their plans due to possible retaliation by Antifa and other far-left activists.

Bag lady of castle rock is the craziest senior citizen in United States. You dont hear stories like this in other states.
This was just from this morning. There is even more post about her. How does this woman get around to so many different places quickly.
Brian saw her at chick fil A. Made a video and told her nicely that he knew who she was and she was scamming. He also asked why she dont get help with housing and other resources. She said she wish she could but dont know how. So instead of going to senior center and places to get help. She rather do this all day.
She was also seen at kings and young field and 38th. She was sitting in middle of the road and going upto cars begging for money.
Yesterday at Luthern hospital she blew up in the bathroom and made a mess and they kicked her out.
To everyone reading this.
Please stop enabling this woman by giving her money and rides.
If you see her tell her you know who she is and scamming people. And tell her to goto senior center and other places to get help.
Bag lady of castle rock is not being nice and just standing in the corner asking for money. She is causing lots of issues and making people mad and she absolutely dont care. Also she is out there all day doing this. Many people and businesses and police are sick of this and want her to stop.
