🚨 MILTON, ONTARIO. This is absolutely astonishing.
Milton had Canada's HIGHEST share of homeowners carrying a mortgage among cities with over 100,000 residents, according to the 2021 Census.
🔹 Milton: 79%
🔹 Canada: 60%
Now look at what's happened to Milton's housing market.
🔹 Typical detached, Feb 2022: $1.87M
🔹 Typical detached, Sept 2026: $1.149M
🔹 Original mortgage with 20% down: ~$1.5M
🔹 Gap between original mortgage and today's typical price: ~$347K
The market isn't making things easier.
🔹 341 new listings in September
🔹 Only 118 sales
🔹 522 homes on the market
Here's the part nobody talks about. Some homeowners who bought near the peak could now face negative equity. Selling may require bringing cash to closing. Even switching lenders at renewal can become difficult.
The real question is how many Milton homeowners are now underwater on their mortgages.
Nobody seems to have that number.

Even the lawyer on CP24 asked it: "If somebody is armed with a firearm, and you don't have a firearm, how are you going to defend yourself?" In Liberal Canada, the answer is: you don't. You call 911 and hope.

Okay listen 🇨🇦 The timing is not coincidental
Canada gives Cohere $1.6 BILLION, with a mandate to hire 1,000 roles. A FEW DAYS later, the Canadian government is removing the LMIA Requirement, which means for some roles, like software & tech roles, employers don’t have to look for Canadian talent 🤯
This doesn’t feel good. This needs to be tracked and public info

How much was the orange juice?
Carney told Canadians fixing the economy "will take some sacrifices." Less than three months later, his plane ran up a $175,248 catering bill on one trip.
Truffle risotto. Beef tenderloin. Crème brûlée.
73 passengers. About $2,400 each.
And in the same breath he promised to "cut waste." 🤦🏻♂️
Who exactly was supposed to be sacrificing?
Sacrifice starts at the top, eh? 🇨🇦

Doctor: "Calcium oxalate stone. I'd cut down on red meat. I'll print you a diet sheet."
Patient: "Does meat have oxalate in it?"
Doctor: "No."
Patient: "What does?"
Doctor: "Spinach, rhubarb, almonds, beetroot. Plants, mostly."
Patient: "So why am I cutting the meat?"
Doctor: "Animal protein raises uric acid."
Patient: "Is my stone uric acid?"
Doctor: "No. Oxalate."
Patient: "So the meat's banned for a stone I haven't got."
Doctor: "It's the standard advice."
Patient: "What's on the sheet?"
Doctor: "Plenty of leafy greens. Nuts as a snack. Almond milk if you're cutting dairy."
Patient: "Spinach, almonds, and almond milk. For an oxalate stone."
Doctor: "It's a general healthy eating sheet."
Patient: "It's the stone's shopping list. What stops oxalate reaching the kidney?"
Doctor: "Calcium in the gut. Binds it, and it passes through."
Patient: "Calcium from?"
Doctor: "Dairy."
Patient: "Which the sheet swaps for almond milk."
Doctor: "..."
Patient: "So I'm to eat the three foods that make the stone, drop the one food that catches it, and give up the one food that does neither."
Doctor: "I can print a different sheet."
Patient: "Print one with a steak and a pint of milk on it. I passed a lentil on Tuesday and I'd like to retire from the hobby."

Carney say he’s a crisis manager when in fact he is the crisis.
Each time you hear Carney say “In a more dangerous and divided world,” know that it’s an age-old fear mongering tactic so that you don’t question when he:
1) introduces new laws to limit more of your freedoms
2) spends more of your tax money on government bureaucracies
3) spends more of your tax money outside Canada
It’s that simple folks. Hopefully you recognize the pattern next time he does it.

But thank goodness there was no $16 orange juice! Then it would be all over the headlines. Right? Right? 😳
🚨🚨New personal record for Carney:
Carney and entourage drop $175,000 on airplane food during one international trip.
Beef tenderloin with demi-glace sauce.
Veal escalope with lemon and capers.
Truffle risotto.
Seabass fillet.
Crème brûlée.
That’s what Carney and his entourage ate on one trip to China, Qatar and Davos.
The bill: $175,248 for airplane food.
That’s his most expensive airplane food trip yet.
"Spend less" lol

oil goes up, so rates go up. every idiot on the internet knows that one.
this week canada did it. first hike in three years, to 2.5%, with brent near $116. the clueless grey brigade at the bank of england's expected to follow next week, and the market's pricing up to 75bp from warsh over the next year.
but at $116 oil's already a tax, levied on every commuter and every trucker. a central bank that hikes into it collects that tax twice. it's just that weak men in grey suits feel the need to do something, anything.
the refiners have noticed. crude's screaming war while the 3-2-1 crack spread's fallen from over $72 to about $50 as diesel floods in. the people who turn oil into something you can actually buy are telling you demand's already cracking.
it's the conceit and arrogance of a well-formed argument.
we've seen this film. in july 2008 the ecb hiked with oil above $140. you know how that autumn went.
tighten into a supply shock and you manufacture the slowdown that would've killed the inflation anyway. a 10y at 5% is the price of believing them.
watch core pce tomorrow. if it beats 0.3% m/m and the 10y breaks back through 5.3%, the hawks have a case. if not, they're hiking into a recession they're building themselves.
