ALT I absolutely loved making this. When I make these covers I do all the cutting first, so I have an array of images in many different sizes to play with, and sometimes it all just falls into place. It's like my hands aren't my own any more and I'm watching them complete a jigsaw in front of me. When our AI Soul Searching Cyborg thrust her beautiful head through those bars, and The Star Gazing Man nestled down into the nebula, I almost cheered. The original cover is Supertramp's Crime of the Century. It's a mainly black cover with points of light, which look like stars and galaxies. There's a rectangular metal window with bars, suggesting a jail, with hands clutching the bars. But just hands. No head or body. But now an old soul of metal and flesh has become manifest and flowed through the bars. There’s a golden submarine and an Ice Kream Van dancing through space. A hint of a man’s head with stars for eyes glitters on the edge of the galaxy. All in all, it’s a thing of beauty.
ALT LP cover featuring a woman with long wavy brown hair, wearing a silky brown long sleeved top and a silky black glove, cuddling a statue of a white horse. The horse has HAL eyes. The woman's face is that of a beautiful android, looking straight at you.
ALT LP cover from The Ruth Rendell "2323: What the fuuk is going on LP" - music from the television series. There are books, a fountain pen, a gun, a foot band hand print, and a head and shoulders of a man wearing a heavy coat and a trilby hat. He has, of course, HAL eyes.
ALT LP cover of a winter scene, snowy banks in the foreground, and a frozen lake or river surrounded by snow-covered fir trees. In the background a mountain with a glowing orange and yellow summit, lit by the sun. An Ice Kream Van flies between the mountain and trees.
ALT LP cover of the head and shoulders of a man holding a guitar, massive grin on his face, looking up in the air. He has, you guessed, it HAL eyes.
ALT LP cover from Close Encounters of the Third Kind with a whole bunch of people in overalls facing away from us, staring at the sky in which hangs a golden submarine with "2323" in large white letters on its side. An Ice Kream Van flies through the air.
ALT A good old 70s album cover of a man with shoulder length strawberry blonde hair, wearing a wide collared flower patterned shirt and a pair of glasses with, you guessed it HAL 2001 lenses.
ALT LP cover showing a gold disc in the shape of the profile of a head, looking right. In the centre of the face is a large HAL. At the top of the sleeve it says HELLO DAVE.
ALT Lovely cover of a woman in a blue velvet over the knee skirt with matching waistcoat over a flambouyant white blouse, sitting on the floor in front of a fire, leaning on a flowery patterned sofa, looking to camera. The woman's head is that of a mesmerising android.
ALT LP cover with an image of a black hole with the words THE BLACK HOLE being sucked into the abyss along with a huge spaceship, over which sails a golden submarine called the Lief Erikson with the number '2323' on its side. At the centre of the black hole is The Ice Kream Van which looks like it is reversing the black hole and beaming light back into the universe.
ALT LP cover featuring a man with short black slicked-back hair, red country shirt, jeans and leather belt, coat slung over shoulder, hand in pocket of his jeans looking pretty damn pleased with himself. Where his eyes should be are red beaming lights which look very much like HAL from 2001.
ALT Blue LP cover with a big black square in the middle. In the black square is a country guitar player, black guitar, beige jacket, gingham shirt, with an immensely beautiful android face looking straight at you, having a bit of a pout
ALT LP cover featuring a line drawn of a man's head, shoulder length hair, wearing glasses. The lenses of his glasses are, once again, rather reminiscent of HAL. All the covers have the same logos/motifs: a banner saying "2323: What the fuuk is going on?", a golden submarine called Lief Erikson with "2323" in big white letters on its side, the Butterfly Effect logo, the flying Ice Kream van, a Red Room sticker and the LP back cover
